This form is to indicate interest and availability to assist as a judge or proctor for the Yuma Aca-dec Scrimmage. Please read each description carefully to ensure you are comfortable with what will be expected of each position. At the bottom of the form, please fill out your availability to participate in the event.

Essay Judge
The essays will be completed on November 15. As an essay judge, you will be asked to evaluate several student essays based on specific criteria assigned by the Academic Decathlon organization. These essays will need to be evaluated and scored before the scrimmage on December 1-2.
Speech Judge
As a speech judge, you will be expected to judge and evaluate the decathlete's prepared and impromptu speeches. This event will be held on Friday, December 1 from 4-8:00 PM. 
Dinner will be provided for you.
Interview Judge
As an interview judge, you will be expected to be able to interview decathletes based on pre-selected questions by the Academic Decathlon program. These questions will vary from general to content-specific questions. This does require more interaction with the decathletes than other judge positions.
This event will be held concurrent with the speech event on Friday, December 1 from 4-8:00 PM.
Dinner will be provided for you.
Test Proctor
As a testing proctor, you will be supervising the decathletes as they go through their testing process. Your job will be to monitor that no outside resources are used and that time requirements are met.
This event will be held on Saturday, December 2 from 7:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
A continental breakfast will be provided.
