On February 29th from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. the Office of Economic Development in
conjunction with the Westchester Worker Cooperative Network will be hosting a Worker’s
Cooperatives Seminar at the New York Power Authority (NYPA) located at 123 Main St., in
White Plains. One example of a Worker’s Co-op is businesses that are owned
and managed by their workers. Co-ops are known for improving the quality
of life of workers by offering sustainable, better paying jobs, and promoting
community and local economic development.
