Humber College's Bhutan Education and Skills Training (BEST) project has been nationally recognized in Bhutan! On March 11-12, the BEST project partners facilitated a forum, as part of International Women's Day, on inclusive TVET for sustainable growth to address the inclusivity challenges women, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable populations face accessing and participating in #TVET. Bhutan's National Broadcasting Service (BBS) did a segment on the forum highlighting the forum's aim to raise awareness of inclusive TVET benefits, barriers, and solutions to access TVET, fostering partnerships to support and promote inclusive TVET, and scaling successful global models and practices. With words from project partners and a student from the Wangsel Institute for the Deaf, this forum brought together stakeholders to collaborate, learn, and commit to making TVET accessible and beneficial for all in #Bhutan. Additionally, the forum appeared on the front page of Bhutan's national newspaper, the Kuensel. This forum and Bhutan's national recognition of it through its media represents a step forward in realizing the vision of His Majesty in achieving the aspiration of the National TVET Reform Plan, 2022, and the transformative power of TVET.
