Bukit Aman denies Sanusi was arrested

PETALING JAYA: Bukit Aman has denied a news portal report which claims caretaker Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor (pic) was arrested again to have his statement taken.

In a statement, Bukit Aman corporate communications head ACP Skandaguru Anandan said that neither Bukit Aman nor the Kedah police had taken any action as reported by the portal.

Skandaguru said Bukit Aman had requested for the news portal to apologise and take down the news report.

"The publication of an unverified news report can cause public panic, especially in a scenario where state elections are taking place.

"A police report will be lodged to probe into the spread of the fake news (on Sanusi's purported arrest)."
