UCLA Esports Overwatch Player Application 2020-2021 School Year
Please read carefully:

Our organization is seeking individuals with knowledge, skill, and passion in the field of esports. Whether that be in the form of management, coaching, or competing on UCLA rosters, we are searching for eager participants who will go above and beyond their responsibilities to help us continue building on the success of the program.

UCLA Esports operates on a dues system. Each year, we gather dues money from athletes and staff, with the money going directly back to the teams in the form of food, travel, LAN Center time, and more.

UCLA Esports is currently accepting applications for both Overwatch Varsity and Junior Varsity rosters. Teams will compete in the Tespa Collegiate Circuit and Tespa Training Grounds: Overwatch respectively. Other league and tournament opportunities may arise in the future.

The deadline to apply for Overwatch 2020-2021 fall season is midnight on September 30th. There will still be rolling applications the remainder of the year with this form for the winter and spring season.

Players who make the cut for either team in the first round will play as a preliminary roster to open the season. Then, both teams will enter Round 2 along with any other applicants who apply to determine final placings on both rosters.

Managers and coaches will monitor all communications during games. Players who showcase their flexibility, exceptional mechanical skill, knowledge, and ability to work seamlessly within a team have a better chance of being selected.

As with traditional sports, players are allowed to be multi-title in UCLA Esports as long as they understand the additional training and responsibilities that accompany multi-title specialization. Please apply individually for each game.

UCLA Esports athletes MUST be full-time UCLA students for the entirety of the 2020-2021 school year. Students who are graduating early in the 2020-2021 year are still eligible. Applicants MUST possess a valid school email address.

Scholarships are not offered directly by UCLA Esports but certain tournaments may offer scholarship prizing.
