For fear of harm, Joel fled Nigeria to the UK. Ade, on the other hand, comes to from a staunch Muslim family. Ade's cover was brown when community member caught him with his boyfriend. He was severely beaten and for fear of continues persecution, Ade left Nigeria to the UK. Both men are happily in the UK living free and campaigning for the right to exist as gay men in Nigeria.
