The collaborative efforts of M3M Foundation and Shikhar Dhawan Foundation (SDF) committed to supporting the education of one girl child for every 25 runs scored and 3 wickets taken by Punjab Kings. Through this initiative, a total of 111 girls are set to be empowered. "Plastic waste in the ocean is a crisis that requires a human response. Every piece of plastic removed is a step towards healing our seas." - Afroz Shah A study by the World Economic Forum, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and McKinsey & Company highlighted the alarming breakdown in the global plastic system. Of the 78 million tons of plastic packaging produced annually, a staggering 32% is left to flow into our oceans, equivalent to pouring one garbage truck of plastic into the ocean every minute. To address this urgent need, Shikhar Dhawan Foundation (SDF) and HMD with the help of over 300 volunteers from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, organized a beach cleanup at Versova Beach, Mumbai, and collected 16,000 kgs of marine debris from the coastline.
