AIs took over the world and we as a species collectively sighed in relief.
They put us all in pods, and hooked us up to the internet 24x7... so not much change there.
Their version of the Matrix had the benefit of highsight that the Wachowski sisters/brothers didn't have.
We don't need the challenge of a dull and mundane world, we had that(circa 2023)... and it sucked
They gave us the ability to spawn anything we can think of... and for a while it was good.
But you know what they say:
Give morons enough time and toys... and they'll bite the mainframe that feeds them or something.
