Former Lee, New Century High School JROTC instructor sentenced for sex crimes

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A former Huntsville City Schools employee who pleaded guilty to having sex with a student was sentenced on Monday morning.
Before being placed in handcuffs and taken out of the courtroom, Duane Yarbrough was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Yarbrough was charged with having sex with a student while he was a JROTC instructor at Lee and New Century High Schools.
He worked for Huntsville City Schools from July 2016 to October 2022.
