I treat lethargy with walks too :)
Exercise is a mental health cheat code
All those tips works - tested myself. You can even extend the list... feeling sad - go outside and experience the nature... feeling happy - go outside and max your happiness :)
Side note: You don't have to always RUN from your emotions. Your emotions can offer helpful insight into what you need, like, dislike and don't need. And suppressed emotions are stored in the body and lead to health consequences. Use exercise, walking, and breathing exercises to get to homeostasis. But then, be sure to actually process and work through your emotion for long term healing instead of quick band-aids.
I don't disagree exactly. But a food addiction can lead itself easily to an exercise addiction. The only way to make your problems go away is to deal directly with your feelings. Otherwise, you're just subbing your avoidance patterns toward food for exercise. (Ugh, ask me how I know lol.) Looking good and feeling healthy is great, but is not a substitute for *actually* feeling good about yourself.
Feeling Angry. Connect to your again, scream, punch, etc. Then ask if WHY it's angry? Ask it HOW it's trying to help you? Ask it what it's afraid would happen if it didn't help you in that way. Anger is here to PROTECT you. But most people see anger as an angry monster they have to lock in a closet. That happens when you don't build a relationship with your anger and are able to set boundaries before the resentment builds and you explode. The core of not being comfortable with your anger is often a fear of upsetting people. Solve this and you'll look at anger in a different way forever and have a much easier life. Feeling deep anxiety? You can use the above, but it's not as straightforward. Therapy is always going to fast track easing these emotions on a mor permanent basis.
Exercise, especially outside, can help almost anything,
Bodyweight squats to failure are sooooo underrated.
I never came out of the gym feeling worse than when I walked in. It's just the initial resistance that holds you back. But go there, get a pump, and you'll love it.

3moHitting the gym is one of the best ways to channelize anger. Otherwise you are simply going to do things that are self-destructive, Dan.
