    Welcome back to Day 19 of our 22 Day Psychic Cleanse journey! Yesterday felt like a sweet little break, didn’t it? We tapped into the energy of The Star card, soaking up that feeling of triumph over challenges. But, you know us humans, right? We're a bit like the night sky—sometimes sparkling with stars, other times shrouded in deep darkness. We can’t linger in celebration mode forever. Our wonderfully complex nature just loves to keep us on our toes, tossing doubts, fears, and shadows into the mix for us to face head-on. So, let’s roll up our sleeves and see what cosmic adventures await us today!







    Today, our focus is on something that many of us grapple with from time to time: the tug-of-war between our conscious mind and our subconscious, or what I like to call the division between the head and the heart. It’s all about observing that constant contention and learning to lean into our intuition, that quiet, knowing voice within that often gets drowned out by the noise of everyday life and our own monkey minds.







    The Moon















    Let’s talk about The Moon card in the Tarot. It’s a card that speaks volumes about illusion, uncertainty, and the unseen forces at play in our lives. Sound familiar? It should, because isn’t that just like the dance between our conscious and subconscious minds?







    See, the contentious Moon reminds us that sometimes what we perceive isn’t the whole truth. Our subconscious is a vast ocean of memories, emotions, and experiences, and sometimes it likes to play tricks on us, projecting negative past experiences into the present moment. And boy, does fear love to jump on that bandwagon and take the wheel, steering us away from our true path.







    But don't worry! The key here is awareness. By acknowledging the division between our head and our heart, between our conscious and subconscious minds, we can start to unravel the knots of illusion and step into the light of our intuition.







    So, how do we do it? How do we lean into our intuition and quiet the noise of fear and past negativity? Well, it’s all about practice. Take a moment each day to sit in stillness, to listen to the whispers of your intuition. Trust those gut feelings, those little nudges from the universe guiding you along your path.







    When those familiar fears creep in, remember they’re just like shadows in the moonlight—temporary illusions cast by the brilliance of your real essence. Just as the moon waxes and wanes, so do these feelings. They’ll ebb away, making room for the sun to shine once more.

    So instead of howling at the moon in a futile attempt to control contentious energies, let them pass. Whenever I see The Moon in a reading for my clients, I always tell them to take a time out and trust that brighter days and mental clarity are just around the corner.







    So, as we continue on our psychic cleanse journey, let’s embrace the wisdom of the Moon and the lessons it teaches us about navigating the murky waters of our subconscious. Let’s lean into our intuition, trusting that it will always lead us home.

It could be anything from flowers to a candle, or even your favorite fruit. Show them your appreciation for their guidance and collaboration on your journey.

Buckle up, because Day 17 is all about confronting The Tower card in the Tarot and understanding the importance of stable foundations in our lives.







    As the Hero's Journey continues, we inevitably find ourselves in the thick of turbulent forces that bring us to our knees, especially if we ignore the budding issues brought forth in The Devil card. Today's lesson is not to frighten you, but to acknowledge that our human condition is a tapestry of light and shadow, growth and challenge. It's through facing these challenges head-on that we discover our true strength and resilience.







    Just like the hero of a grand adventure, (think Luke Skywalker or Dorothy of Oz) we must confront our inner demons and navigate the treacherous terrain of change. It's in these moments of chaos and destruction that we have the opportunity to rise, to shed our old skin, and emerge stronger and wiser than before.







    The Tower















    First things first, let's talk about The Tower card. For those unfamiliar, it's depicted as a tall tower struck by lightning, with people falling from its heights. It's a powerful symbol of sudden upheaval, destruction of old structures, and the need to rebuild from the ground up. Sounds intense, right? But fear not, because The Tower brings with it the promise of renewal and growth, albeit through turbulent means.







    Now, let's zoom out and look at the bigger picture. Universal wake-up calls are like cosmic alarms reminding us that change is not only inevitable but necessary for our personal and collective evolution. These wake-up calls can manifest in various forms – from major life events like loss, upheaval, or unexpected challenges to global crises that shake the very foundations of society.







    Just when you think you’re safe and comfortable, a Tower moment hits and throws you for a loop. A lightning bolt of clarity and insight cuts through the lies and illusions you have been telling yourself, and now the truth comes to light. It may be a divorce, death of a loved one, financial failure, health problems, natural disaster, job loss, or any event that shakes you to your core, affecting you spiritually, mentally, and physically. There’s no escaping it. Change is here to break things up and rearrange them (but trust me, it’s for your Highest Good).







    Shaking the Tree







    I often remind my clients that when The Tower shows up in their readings, it's like the universe is shaking their tree, clearing out all the nuts that are in the way and blocking growth and progress. It's a necessary upheaval, a cosmic wake-up call that propels us forward on our journey of self-discovery and evolution.







    Sure, it can be unsettling to watch everything we've built come crashing down around us. But trust me, it has to happen. Just like a gardener prunes a plant to encourage new growth, the universe shakes things up to remove what no longer serves us, making room for fresh opportunities and experiences that need to happen to fulfill your inner most dreams and desires. See, the universe is responding to the deeper part of you and knows the best path to get you where you really want to be.

Just like a poorly constructed tower, our lives can come crashing down when faced with the storms of life.     Welcome back to day 16 of the 22-Day Psychic Cleanse! As we venture deeper into the Hero's Journey, today we’re delving into the realm of dependencies and addictions, shining a light on these often shadowy corners of our lives before they cast a long shadow over our spiritual growth.







    Picture this: you're navigating life's winding roads, and suddenly you find yourself at a crossroads. You notice that little voice inside your head urging you to indulge in that one habit, that one substance, or perhaps even that one person who seems to offer solace from life's challenges. But wait, before you take that detour, let’s hit the brakes and take a closer look at what’s really going on.







    The Devil















    Enter the Devil card in the Tarot. Now, before you panic, let’s demystify this infamous card. In Tarot, the Devil doesn’t represent some external evil force out to get you. Instead, it symbolizes the chains we willingly bind ourselves with – those habits, dependencies, materialism, and addictions that keep us shackled, preventing us from reaching our fullest potential.







    One common manifestation of these chains is found in codependent relationships. You know the type – where you lose yourself in trying to fix, rescue, or please someone else, often at the expense of your own well-being. It’s like being tangled in a web of toxic energy, where boundaries blur, and self-care takes a backseat.







    But here’s the thing: awareness is our greatest ally in breaking free from these chains. By shining a light on our dependencies and addictions, we reclaim our power to choose differently. It’s about acknowledging that while these habits may offer temporary relief, they ultimately hinder our spiritual growth and block our path to true fulfillment.







    Observing The Devil card, the couple in chains can simply (maybe not easily) remove the loose chains that are around their necks and start to reverse their animalistic tendencies and raw instincts before completely crossing over to the dark side. Notice their budding horns and beastly tails. They can continue feeding their shadow selves by over-indulging in worldly pleasures, or they can break free.







    When The Devil shows up in a reading for a client, my first question is, "How is your spiritual life?" Because I know that it's out of balance and can use some attention.

    Think about it like this: every time we succumb to our addictions, we’re feeding the beast within. We’re perpetuating a cycle of spiritual erosion, where our inner light dims a little more with each indulgence.     So, how do we break free? It starts with a willingness to face our shadows head-on, to confront the underlying fears and insecurities that drive our addictive behaviors. It’s about seeking support, whether through therapy, support groups, or trusted friends who can walk alongside us on this journey of self-discovery.







    And as we gradually loosen the grip of our dependencies, we create space for something greater to emerge – a newfound sense of inner strength, resilience, and self-love. We reclaim our sovereignty, standing tall as the architects of our own destiny.

    Temperance gently nudges you to tread the middle path, inviting you to embrace all perspectives with an open heart and an open mind. Now, more than ever, it's crucial to set aside the allure of extreme opinions and controversial stances. Instead, channel your inner peacekeeper and adopt a balanced and moderate approach, steering clear of any polarizing extremes.







    Consider the image of the Temperance card: an angelic figure pouring water from one vessel to another, seamlessly blending the elements of fire and water. This symbolizes the art of alchemy, the transformative process of turning lead into gold. In our own lives, we are called to become alchemists of the soul, transmuting our inner conflicts into opportunities for transcendence.







    Being a moderate alchemist doesn't mean watering down our convictions or relinquishing our principles.     After our introspective pause with The Hanged Man, we now encounter Death, signaling the end of a significant chapter in our lives. But fear not. Death is not a bringer of doom but rather a messenger of freedom, rebirth and renewal.









    "Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything - anger, anxiety, or possessions - we cannot be free."

    In the Tarot, Death represents the closing of one door to make way for another, the shedding of old skin to reveal the radiant essence beneath. It's a cosmic call to release what no longer serves us, to bid farewell to outdated beliefs, relationships, resentments, or bad habits that weigh us down.







    But let's face it – letting go isn't always easy. We humans have a knack for clinging to the familiar, even when it's clear that it's time to move on. The problem of holding onto the past can manifest in various ways – clinging to past hurts, staying in stagnant situations out of fear of the unknown, or simply resisting change because it's uncomfortable.







    Death















    Yet, the Death card teaches us that in order to grow, we must first let go. Like the phoenix rising from the ashes, we can only experience true transformation once we release our grip on the past. It's about surrendering to the natural cycle of life, trusting that what lies ahead is infinitely more beautiful and fulfilling than what we leave behind.







    Resistance to this necessary ending can lead to pain – both emotional and physical. Just as a tree must shed its old leaves to make way for new growth, we too must shed our attachments to the past to embrace the fullness of our potential.







    Vacuum Law







    But here's the beautiful paradox – in the midst of death, there is life. The universal vacuum law states that in the space created by letting go, we invite new opportunities, relationships, and experiences to blossom. By exercising our imagination and visualizing a new possibility, we pave the way for constructive patterns to emerge, guiding us towards our highest good.







    I remember watching "The Shift," a docudrama by Wayne Dyer. It begins with him saying, "At the morning what was true, in the evening will become a lie.” What resonates with me about this quote is the subtle notion that what once worked for us served its purpose, but may not do so anymore. There's no need for regret; instead, we simply acknowledge our evolution and recognize the need to adapt mentally and spiritually as a consequence.







    So, as we journey through Day 14 of our psychic cleanse, let's embrace the transformative power of Death. Let's honor the endings in our lives as sacred rites of passage, knowing that each goodbye opens the door to a brighter, more expansive future.
