Opening was good, but it dry in to male cologne on me, yuck.

Doctorstranger@

Personally I don't like it that much, I can't stand the opening which is a citrus in your face. when it settle down I can get the musk and the fruity notes which I can't enjoy because of the citrus. Gladly I only have a tester, is it worth it to get a full bottle? for me it's a NO!

silent_hill_dylan

I was so excited for this, been waiting ages for it to come to my discount store and it's a huge disappointment. I was expecting something fun and fruity, but to me this fragrance is the perfume equivalent of 'a lemon tree'. ALL I smell is lemon and wood and nothing is especially outstanding, it's very common and meh :/

bluepistachio

All I can think of when I smell this is Rainforest scent or Aqua Rain. It is more of a green perfume, not red like I would imagine based on packaging. The citric notes and the white florals (in this case jasmine) are prominent. The cedar wood is also strong. Then the musk is more of a star, continuing with the citric notes. I find this unisex. Just a clean scent with some floral woodsy notes. I don't smell any cherry. It is pleasant and not headache-inducing (at least not to me). The sillage is close to skin to a foot I would say. Just not my cup of tea.

Moonbeam28

This is like the fall/winter version of Light Blue. It's a bit less aquatic, a bit more woody. For the person (like me) who is obsessed with aquatic citruses in the summer and wants something similar for the colder months. Personally I like to switch gears completely when the seasons change (to gourmand vanilla & sandalwood), but not everyone does. 'Q' is a sister to Light Blue, same light citrus effervescent feel, but wrapped in a warm blanket of cherry & cedar. Still stays close to the skin and doesn't project much, which is how many people love to wear fragrance. Definitely work and office friendly.

I really did not like this one when I first sprayed my sample, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it… sprayed it a second time and still wasn’t in love, but it definitely started to grow on me the longer I wore it that second day. Today was the third day I tried it and I am actually now in love with it!! I am not sure what changed over the course of trying it out once a month but it is absolutely delicious and I’m obsessed. However, it does sit real close and does not project hardly at all, and it lasts around 4-5 hours which I think is decent. But the smell alone is gorgeous and I will definitely be buying this in a larger size!! I think it would work well in any season :)

ar_g02

This one really reminds me of Funny! By Moschino, both perfumes are aquatic, light and citrusy. It’s a nice smell, I used to have Funny! when I was a teenager. I bet I would love Q back then, but now it feels plain and boring. It's better than L’imperatrice, but I won’t buy it as it smells cheaper than it costs. It’s also kinda similar to Light Blue with a little bit of cherry, so there is nothing special in this perfume for me personally.

OMG I don't know how it is, but I just sprayed this and the rich dark cherry was an amazing first impression. Just 3 minutes later I could swear , literally swear I was holding fresh cut cherry scented roses, the fresh leaves, and the actual fresh cut stems and all. As I'm writing this, it's like I'm covered in fresh cut roses yet without the actual roses but maybe a hint of them somewhere. That's probably the cedar coming through that gives the feeling of mature cut stems of roses. It's so fresh, like maybe I'm attempting to gather root stock of my favorite rose or citrus tree with my early spring flower garden and citrus trees blooming not far from me. I can smell the musk on me from the labor of love as I select and gather my prized specimens for rooting during the warm spring day I'm getting tired and thirsty and the fresh fragrant glass of lemonade before me is refreshing and bright.
The early afternoon sun is gently shining down into and reflecting on the cool glass. The scent of the cherry garnish barely lingers around the stem that remains. This is a gardeners love scent. Just got it today. Perfect timing for a new spring scent!

It's been 2hrs+. It's very close to the skin and still smells green like a pile of cut rose stems, the cherry is creeping back up now, barely. I'm really impressed to have the cherry REsurface, but it's still intertwined and mostly buried underneath the greenery. The cherry is not as bright of a cherry note as Cherry Ambition (7 Virtues) , but leans very very faintly maybe, in that direction under the citrus, cedar and faint musk. The cherry is not as syrupy as Tom Ford Lost Cherry. (Just compared both)

I can see why this feels slightly masculine but I'll go unisex to slightly feminine. I'm still smelling the cherry but I am going into a room with an ozone filter running to clear my nose. You totally go nose blind to it.

My husband smells mint on first spray (!?!) and never smells the cherry , ever. He smells ZERO of the notes listed. He does agree that it smells like a florist shop with recently cut greenery.

So if you like the smell of a tiny florist shop that's got a ton of stems all over the counter, this might work for you. :)

Agatepearl

I came here to look at the notes as I'm at the store right now with it in my hand....but the spray I applied to my wrist has already faded. Not long lasting at all. Like not even 10 mins. Probably due to the cherry.

AllisonNW

I agree with the reviews saying this smells aquatic and leans masculine. I do really like it, but I don’t think it’s a safe blind buy if you’re going by the notes.

Chinello23

I think this is absolutely chic. When I first smelled it in store I could pick up the cedar and citrus strongly, but couldn't really discern much cherry or floral until I read the notes.

It does smell kind of masculine and punchy at times, and I get the detergent and aftershave comparisons haha but it's really nice and refreshing.

I'd call it unisex, though feminine leaning. Smells kind of 90s!

Donya ezz

This is very aquatic, I don't know how are there no aquatic notes listed?
When it is first sprayed it smells more like pomegranate than cherry, it's like pomegranate mixed with comforting laundry like smell.
But when this dries down, it is an aquatic bomb.
Smells a lot like a bath and body works beachy candle that is called Ocean Driftwood.

sinesthesya

I LOVE this perfume!! It could be similar to Light blue or I love love at first, but then it turns into a delicious cherry smell. The only thing I don't like much is the drydown, it smells similar to BB her and BB her blossom, Kayali Eden Juicy apple, Daisy intense, etc (because of the musk I think) on my skin. On me lasts about 5-6 hours.

bingbongie

i don't smell any of the fruit/citrus at all, it just smells like powder

Ceila88

Cherry isnt as prominant as i wished it to be , if any .. its a bitter type of cherry not sour not sweet .. its a bit too sharp for my taste , nothing remarkable .. its more like a cheap after shower cologne .. disappointed by D&G latest releases .. well , atleast its ok compared to the horrendous devotion 🤢

cristinap9587

Nothing remarkable, it's a sweeter version of Light Blue, probably the jasmine in the opening. Don't expect a lot of cherry, it's not a synthetic one either it's not very noticeable but more on the fruity side like if you smell a half-bitten cherry but again, very faint. I liked the heavy cap but it's not a scent profile I feel I need, I'd say it's ok to blind-buy as it's in the crowd-pleaser range. An easy reach but quite pricey so maybe wait a bit to get it.

kristianakk

It is a nice perfume, but sadly the longevity isn't great.

Peachie

I think this is a beautiful perfume! If you like strong perfumes with huge sillage this might not be for you though. This is quite lightweight and works well as an everyday perfume. I smell mostly cherry. Not in an artificial and strong way but more like a real cherry. This is not very sweet. But I don't recommend blind buying it because I can see reviews being very mixed with this one. For me this is a really beautiful and even a bit delicate scent that still has something interesting in it and I really love it.

susi_susina

I actually really like this. Sometimes perfumes don’t need to be complicated, just an easy reach. I find that it’s still interesting and I love wearing it on super hot humid days (I live in Australia 🇦🇺). I feel there is something minty on initial spray even if it’s not mentioned or the notes.

Reggyt

Was given this perfume on accident when I ordered a different one from D&G. Incredibly disappointing. Overwhelmingly powdery. I thought I could make this work and there is no way. I'm sure anyone who lives very sweet and powdery scents will love this. I couldn't pick up on any fruity (lemon or cherry) undertones at all.

Kuty22

This is a basic scent, not too complicated. But I love 😍 it.
I didn't blind buy, tried it first and loved it
Bought it, still in love with it.
Lasts a long time on my skin.

Jackiekeyes99

My husband and I did a bunch of blind smelling for my next everyday scent, and this one came out on top. It’s just sooo well blended from opening to closing, running smoothly into every note . Never overpowering, except if you overspray in opening, you’ll get an alcoholic smell but that dissipates quickly, and I find all citrus opening perfumes do this if you overspray.
I adore the green smell in this, it's just a hint that plays peekaboo, you keep guessing wondering and comparing it to fresh cut flower stems..perhaps? In the good way. I’m not a huge green lover, so don’t be scared green haters. The cherry is faint and smooths that green middle note. The dry down is amazing it’s just so soft and smooth and creamy and powdery, and a bit woodsy, but nothing is blatant, because like I said it smooths together and you almost can’t tell the notes. You won’t get sick of this smell because it doesn’t lean to far anyway. This is a key for an everyday scent. I’m getting sick of perfumes that bombard your nose. This is not one of those. I get faint wafts from my neck but I always want to smell my wrist because of the creamy smoothness of the middle notes to dry down. I have a feeling this will become a classic everyday grab. Again very well blended and that’s in the making of a fragrance that will be purchased over and over again , easy to reach for everyday! I believe it’s a humble scent. Not showy ,but oh so pleasing to wear on the wearer. The bottle is a bit showy and doesn’t show what the perfume smells like, but then again I could be wrong. Q for queen, over everyday casual wear? Yes.
Side note, I love D&G light blue but this does not remind me of it. I think people think citrus and think of DGLB. This citrus is sweeter and smoother. To me nothing similar except citrus friends.

jdb_

I don’t get it. It’s barely there. I do like the fragrance I’m able to huff down though. Way too casual to justify the name Q for queen.. It smells like a freshly showered athletic babe sucking on a cherry lozenge. She def uses herbal essence shampoo and maybe just went on a morning run. It cracks me up to see “clean armpit” in the reviews but I totally understand what they mean! Perhaps it’s the musk that’s reading “human” but clean. I just don’t see how D&G can ethically $ELL this with so little strength or longevity. Cool if you want to smell clean and not too girly but a bit fruity.

LindaL100

I like both the D&G K EDT and EDP versions for men and was looking forward to trying this new Q for women, so when I saw this fragrance at Chemist Warehouse I was excited to try it and honestly I was left so disappointed in it. With a strong name like Q for "queen" I was initially expecting this fragrance to be very strong and rich like 'Lady Million' from Paco Rabanne or 'Black Opium' by YSL or 'Gucci Bloom', but instead it is a light generic citrus fragrance that's too subtle for me. With such a strong name the fragrance itself is actually very subtle and too weak and it doesn't last on my skin. Overall a very disappointing fragrance, but I like the bottle though.

AlliCat1215

Overpriced for what it is. It’s a pleasing cherry lemon scent but has no projection or longevity.

rose4franc

Somehow a soapy, musky, cedar nightclub essence. Not gonna lie, K and Q blend into one super unisex sweat vapor. Is it sexy? In a skin way. When you closely let it fade into the background it's pure soap but these said fruit notes aren't there at all. It's unique in that it smells like an EDC for women, accented by patchouli. It can't carry, but it's kinda hot in a young Malibu summer vacation way.

VanillaV

Bright, sweet, beautiful, fruity, fresh, and feminine! I'm not sure about the longevity. I love the way this smells, so I still want to purchase the full bottle. The notes read like a pack of Starburst! 😋 Speaking of the bottle, I think it would be much cuter without the bulky bold text Q on it. Update: Apparently there is a new version, an intense EDP. I hope it smells the same or similar enough and lasts longer! Fingers crossed. We shall see... 👑 💌

Dark_Venus

It smelled too fresh/green for me and uninteresting.

thaochipnd

Queen? I think this name is not really suitable, I just find this scent difficult to smell, smelling like traditional medicine and herbs. I don't like this scent even though I've tried it many times, sorry D&B.

hayleyd

The most disappointing $89 I’m ever spent. I wear it daily just because it smells good and I spent $89 on it but it’s nothing special. I first learned of it through a sample in an Ulta circular and thought it smelled fantastic. Tried it again in person and again, fantastic when just sprayed. Bought it, wore it to work the next day… the scent was so faint in no time. I sprayed it on my skin and my clothes and it lasted longer on fabric but could only be smelled if you got suuuuper close. It’s definitely a skin scent.

It leans more powdery, a little white floral-y. I saw someone compare this to Light Blue and I would agree, a powdery, floral-y Light Blue with none of the projection. Perhaps it would be better layered with another fragrance?

empawprint

I really like this. Fresh flowery scent with a strong sweet redcurrant note vibing through it all. This scent make me feel happy and motivated .

I only got a tester , but hopefully one day I Dan buy a big bottle.

Vmich

The lemon pledge comparison is hard to get away from. Strong lemon scent at the start, but not really a fresh fruity smell. It disappears quick but I generally overpowered by the musk and powder scent. Definitely some wood/cedar in there. It’s an interesting smell though, it’s not boring. Definitely makes me think furniture. Will have to revisit in the summer months.

SofiaTeddy

Queen in name but not in fact. A citrus/floral blend that belongs to that "I would like but I can't" school of feminine perfumes. If it were at least cheeky or vulgar. No, not even that. Good or bad no longer matters: they are simply irrelevant.

dglightblue

skin test, hot day.

this fragrance is bright and rounded, it has a very sheer feel, the cherry is gentle and not fruity per se, slightly eraser like if anything, the lemon is very gentle, i actually wouldn't call this a citrus scent as i know it. the lemon here is like lemon essence in cooking.
thee is however a gentle citric (not acidic) and light wood back drop - this could be aromatics, again i wouldn't call this an aromatic though.

could be uinsex if you like, though for most women it would be fine, it stays longer on fabric than skin. ive had about 3 hours, its still present, its clean, very gentle rounded citrus and cherry with delicate branches of aromatic bushes i the backdrop - not green, not heavily so, it takes it out of fruity territory.

some people have mentioned urine - not for me, and others note cleaning product - well, not really - not the common ones anyhow, maybe a very high end light one if anything.. otherwise no, not a cleaning product.
i also note the Lightblue comparison, for me its a no. possibly very distant same family, not the same scent though. LB is far more lemony woody twisted amazing..

the scent itself is quite lovely, i wonder if this one is better layered with some Iso e super??

toosimilar

Weird one

In the heat it was rather soft powdery floral

And now, during the fall, it's fruity synthetic

So better leave it for some warm months!

Pretty generic, yes

dvadesetivek

Really basic and unmemorable. This is what a perfumery smells like when you enter and all the perfumes blend into one fragrance.

vanillaflower4

I can't speak for the scent, but is it just me or does the bottle look extra cheap and tacky? Who designed this? Pink liquid with a dark red and gold crown cap?? It doesn't make sense. And the label design looks like it was made in Word with WordArt lol, definitely looks like something from the early 2000s but not in a good way.

DHakky

Lemons with cheery syrup juice is all what i can smell

Raadyrihagen

Beautiful opening. But unfortunatly smells like mosquito spray quite quickly…

LotsofLisa76

I smelled lemon cherry armpit...I'll need to revisit this one.

QueOndaGuera

Hmm. I thought I would like this more. I love cherry notes but the cherry gets a little lost in this and it’s not as easy for me to detect. I initially smelled citrus and a hint of cherry which yes is reminiscent of light blue (not mad at that). The dry down goes cedar and musky big time which I wasn’t crazy about…I felt like I smelled like furniture that was recently cleaned with lemon pledge. It also is not very strong nor long lasting as I kept checking my arm through the day but could hardly tell it was there after a few hours.

Bhavnalovesscents

Nice scent, very similar to light blue by D and G. With a slight hint of cherry. Its a citrus burst in a bottle. It does not last very long, but i honestly got it for the bottle (cap) looks beautiful ❤️

Totalcrazys

I tried this for the second time and I start to like it 🫣
It is very strong cherry for me . First time I didn’t like the dry down at all but today I kind of like it a lot 🤦♀️ I sprayed it midday and now is 11 pm and I can still smell it on my self ! Impressive!! I might give this a go in summer / spring

minettedelatour

I’m tickled by all the hate for this and all the love for D&G Devotion. This one has some ‘dirty’ sexy notes that remind me of vintage Dior Eau Sauvage, a men’s fragrance I like to wear. It starts out all bright and citrusy, but thank goodness it has some depth and develops into more of a skin scent — a scent that does not just sit on your skin like a blob of sweet pudding, a candle, or syrup, but melds with your humanness. It’s slightly animalic, and I really like that. But if you don’t like smelling like a warm, clean, sexy human, you might not like this. 😉

YourFragranceFriend

Location this scent transports me to: Hazel Park, MI. 2004. Great grandma’s bathroom, sneaking into her jade green loose powder container.

Opens warm, fruity/citrus like cherries in a fruit cocktail with orange rinds. By that I mean it’s not super recognizable as distinctly cherry. It’s muddled in the other notes. Sometimes I get more lemon and this leans more like Light Blue to me. Other times, I get more powder. I think it has something to do with the temperature.

The cherry element here is not the most prominent scent. Instead, it’s the powdery, clean floral. Often with cherry, it goes more almondy-cherry almost like amaretto. I think this was the direction the perfumers intended when they added heliotrope.

From the imagery, I was expecting a delicious, juicy cherry lemonade. This is very much not that. Probably something to try before you buy.

liat

I read all the reviews here. Also, I'm not a huge D&G fan and never wanted to own any of their fragrances. But this it special. It's a soft subtle scent. Nothing crazy but very well done. The opening reminded me of Dior Escale a Potofino. Then some sweet soft fruitiness came in and I was hooked. Ignore the haters and give it a try. Do not blind buy bc it's pricy.

Julie Chit

I love love that fresh, elevating classy and playful summer scent! It definitely carries the Light Blue vibes but it is a perfect alternative to it if you feel something new. The lemon is definitely there but blended a very beautiful way with the rest of the notes. I honestly can not smell cherry at all. It is definitely not boring scent to me!

raesmells

I really like this one.
The musky dry down is beautiful and it lasts and lasts on my clothes.I am not a fan of the Bac. Rouge at all but I like this. Just because they both have cherry does not make them similar.

SatinTulip

Eh, not great but it’s ok for very hot days.
I wouldn’t repurchase, it’s nothing special.
I agree with who mentioned smelling like pledge with a bit of cherry.

ANNAFRYS

It reminds me city gardens scent in London. To me the dry out seems like towards male tones. In the same time is a very light and subtle. when I sniff it ... it also takes me to Chicago Boystown on Halsted and Belmont and boys meeting for a drink, date wear that scent on. It has a lovely citruses covered with dairy queen ice creams. ...
Its like a walk after the rain . . . when sun awakes behind silver clouds. .. . .

mklouise24

The simplest way to describe it is upon spraying, i could smell the citrus and cherry which reminds me of a luxurious hotel air freshner. Upon dry down, i could no longer smell the citrus, and it smells like bacarat rouge.

Strawberrykitty

This smells 98% like light blue. Just layer a cherry fragrance with light blue and you have this.

Hunnynpink

On me this is sweet fruity and bright, good for warmer weather. I get grapefruit for a few hours then dries down to cherry skin scent.

12Sanguine

Love the opening. Hate the dry down.

Totalcrazys

So this is going to sound crazy but after the whole day having this on my hand it literally smells like baccarat rouge 🤣🫣 I think it is that cherry that gives me that exact vibe . As I hate BR I will definitely stay away from this . At first I could clearly smell light blue dna and I liked it . But this dry down is na-a !
Edit : oh and now I read a comment below saying that at the end of the day it smells like dentist office well that makes sense as a lot of people say BR smells like hospital 🤣. Ok so Iam not crazy

TRmen

Very boring scent and the main problem is that Q smells like a bunch of cherry stalk in a bowl with added hot water. Doesn't worth of any penny even if they give you free, you would not wear that scent because it is nothing very cheap feels like scent...

AryanasPerfumes

I dont understand the bad reviews. This is very cute for summer and refreshing, a sweet and sour fruity juice. It's not too sweet and not too sour, it's perfect and it gets musky. This is where it gets interesting, the musk in the drydown that remains after the fruity notes are gone is exactly the one from Arizona Bloom by Floral Street which from a distance is the same molecular feel of Another13.

sakecat22

Lemon + orange + cherry = "passionfruit". I don't wear those types of scents well. This is no exception.
Add a healthy slug of unpleasant astringency and a drop of trendy caramel musk aromachemical and you have this thing.
I actually worked my way through an entire manufacturer's sample - more out of morbid curiosity.
I can get away with leaving the house smelling like this, but I don't want to.

I would like to think that this smelled "good" to an actual human somewhere in the decision-making process.
But I suspect that Q was designed by AI.
The formula looked good on paper, and they cynically decided to release it without anyone actually smelling it.

Vellocet

This may be the most boring perfume i’ve ever smelled, really. It gave me nothing. I think I actually even yawned when I smelled it.

Princess28

This is Light Blue Love is Love repackaged.

lulu169

Just meh 😑...lemon with cherry, very watered down, very linear, underwhelming, like a very cheap and bad bodyspray for kids...

zanbanan

Smells like a cheap men’s cologne.

ButterCream

Q smells too good to fade so quickly, and for there to be zero silage. I’ve had to reapply multiple times to continue to smell it on myself which typically is not a problem for me. After like 2 hours, I have to press my nose against my wrist to still smell it. Yikes! For these reasons, it definitely isn’t worth the price.

Q does smell good, though. The cedar is the perfect finish; I think this is where the slightly spicy note comes from. I can also smell the lemon and blood orange throughout the entire wear. It just doesn’t last long enough.

lesecretforme

Awful stuff. Celery, armpit, cat pee.

G.GirlSwagger

This smells like lemon Pledge with a hint of cherry. I do not like it at all.

NoMilkToday

Great sillage? Are you kidding me? Perhaps, for a minute and a half and then it's gone completely. It's a lovely scent, but not worth that cash.

raiza1990

This is surprisingly nice! It’s very fruity but in an elegant and mature way. It’s sweet and has great sillage but is not sickening, even in summer. It smells sensual and sexy. My husband really likes it and he is not a big perfume fan. On my skin, the blood orange dominates but i can smell a bit of the heliotrope too and the mix is really interesting. I don’t even mind the cherry here, which is a note i usually don’t like. This scent definitely has personality. I imagine a very sensual and feminine woman wearing it, the likes of Monica Belluci. Great choice for date nights. 9/10.

Cherry_Darling

The perfume shop assistant enthusiastically sprayed this for me on a strip as it was her favorite (according to her it smells like cherries) but I wasn't too impressed. Smelled nondescript sweet and chemical. I'd have to retest this on skin to get a real accurate feel for it but overall on strip smells mass manufactured and dated.

Erica.Cass

Not a fan. Needs to be layered over a longer lasting fragrance. Doesn't smell bad, just doesn't last long on its own

valevaleria

Mmmm, so if you are into citrus and you think you want to give a chance to something New without risking too much, well this is it. It is basically lemon with a hint of cherry, watery and fresh, but I would not buy it. Maybe for a girl's first scent. It is not bad, nor great or unique... just another common forgettable fragrance.

Voyagevoyage33

Stumbled upon a sample in my airbnb’s bathroom on holiday. Initially thought it must be a n old d&g as I was not aware of the launch and the bottle looks rather dated. Fell in love quickly with the scent, it’s an almost perfect replica of Mandarina Corsica from L’artisan Parfumeur. Very wearable in summer. So sweet and woody, nicely blended, might buy a small full bottle to have this fragrance dna in my collection

Nisimako

I was really excited when I found out this was a cherry-citrus fragrance. And you know what, even though the opening reminds me of a Sonic Cherry Limeade, I think the cherry is well done in a fun and flirty way without being childish or medicinal. But you only get 10 minutes of it. As great as that 10min experience is, the longevity is so poor to me it’s not worth the price. I had a sample from the store and tried to spray it very heavy a few times. You’re better off layering two longer lasting citrus and cherry perfumes.

JoRex27

Was dying to try this and managed to do so today whilst on my lunch hour. The opening is very lemon/citrus which i like. I just sprayed on the test strips not on my skin as was already wearing a fragrance. I am going to smell it later on the strip as still have it and see what it is like. Although i think i am loving it so far. May be worthy of a full bottle. I also found out today that TFS do the scent addict so you can buy a spray for 12.00 gbp and this is refunded to you on a new fragrance purchase. Could be worth looking into.

Tony Shades

The performance of this one is better than of Light Blue (any). So, even if it's not beast mode, it's better than the old D&G, which doesn't get much negative reviews. My point is, if this one gets complaints about the performance and scent, the soft and basic Light Blue should have its brains bashed in, but it's still appreciated today for what it is. So, praising that one and criticizing this one makes zero sense, if you ask me.

rachelgiuntoli

*Editing to add: I ran out of my samples and decided I couldn't live without it. There's just something about it! So now I have the huge bottle and like I said before, it acts more like a body spray and that's the way I treat it. A very expensive body spray. It does last forever on clothes, just not on skin.*

Smelled this in store before reading any reviews and fell in love and bought the big bottle. Unfortunately, I realized how quickly it fades to a barely there skin scent. The sales associate was kind enough to let me take some samples home with my purchase and I used it for a few days but found myself reapplying every few hours.

I consider this to be a super expensive designer body spray.

It really is beautiful. The opening is so yummy and made me feel so happy and light. Citrus cherry right at the top and it is freaking delightful. Mature in all the right ways while not being old. But that all goes away in about an hour and the scent that I’m obsessed with sniffing reduces to a musky cologne on my skin with no real depth to it. I’m not kidding, I’m so sad because I want that initial spray smell to last forever.

I took the bottle back for a return but kept my samples and often spray my wrists to see if anything changes, but it’s hopeless. I might just buy it just because I really do love the opening and I’ll just deal with having to re spray.

vivaLVmarie

I wasn’t too excited for the reviews are mostly negative. But I got this in the mail today and wow, I LOVE IT! This is how I want Light Blue to smell like. It’s sweet, bright, and mature (in an elegant way). I like that even tho it has a cherry note, it doesn’t smell super sweet. My husband detected the cherry upon first sniff and he told me, “wow, a cherry note that doesn’t smell cheap”. So yes, that’s a good thing! I also dislike cherries in perfumes cause they smell too juvenile or sweet-like-candy-trying-too-hard so this is good. I love clean scents, bright, and not super showy screaming scents. I like it light and classy. It’s beautiful on a hot day!

Smells like a modern queen! Really matches K.
Love it! 🌸

cleanirene

I enjoy the fresh cherry in the opening, but the dry-down smells synthetic on me and completely ruins it.

Sleepy_Panda

Honestly I don’t understand negative reviews about this fragrance. To me it’s a very juicy cocktail on a sunny day. Refreshing, happy and bright. Zesty, slightly sweet blood orange with hint of tart cherry. It’s more fruity , feminine and interesting than Light Blue ( which is more linear and lemony to me), they are not the same at all, maybe distant cousins. I can detect some berries, maybe blueberries or red berries. Overall it’s a great spring/ summer scent. Decided to get fb right after first sniff.

Jasmineaeisha

My boyfriend told me I smelled like Dove soap while wearing this. Smells like an more sophisticated version of Japanese Cherry Blossom to
Me.

Elken

Вишневая версия Императрицы плюс Кирке

Olya-la

Q opens exactly like Light blue later transforming into a dirty version of l’Impératrice. The dry down is a rather cheap musky inaudible mix. No cherry has been detected. Seems like it is blocked by heliotrope, musk and cedar wood.

stinkyhera

I never knew I would've liked the lemon top note as I did!! wish this lasted longer because I could not smell anything even while continuing to walk around the store

Kuty22

I've only tested in store and I like it a lot.
I'm a bit under the weather at the moment, but I swear I'm getting the same vibe as Kirke, something extremely fruity and fresh

Zentocs

Hey I just want to reflect to the opinions that this perfume has no sillage-it has at least an arm lenght becouse I met with this frag first time in a Gym Arena where a woman next to my Husband wear this and I fell in love instantly her smell. It has a beautyfule unusual and unique aura mixed with blood orange, cherry, musk and heliothrope. I don’t get the Light Blue wibe at all, it does not comes to my mind becouse this perfume has more depth. After 3,5 hours I get the brave to ask her what is she whearing? She said it’s the new D&G with the crown. I decided to buy one for myself. Very good and likeable scent!

Jmiles

Guy here. I don’t understand the hate on this. It smells like armpit? Urine and Celery? What?! 😂 People have to get their noses checked lol.

I bought it for my wife for Mothers Day. She loves it and I love it. It’s citrusy and fruity and mixed well. I understand the knock on performance, but just go heavy. It will offend no one. It’s light blue with some grenadine. Sign me up!

Cherry_Darling

Not as lemony as DG blue, much more soapy and musky with some fruit and heliotrope and jas. There's too much going on for my personal taste in this lemon, i like my lemons really juicy and citrussy. Not bad though if you love these notes together, nothing chemical it's just too soapy / much for me as a summer / citrus frag.

Inciel

My husband says it smelled like armpit, a clean armpit lol

Treatsios

Been wearing this for about an hour and at first it was sparkling, fruity and enjoyable. Then I started getting whiffs if the woody base notes - liked that too. Now it smells like the dentist office and I will not be purchasing.

cookygirl

Basically, what others have already said regarding the resemblance to Light Blue but with a cherry twist.
Also regarding how faint and fleeting this is, unfortunately, which is why I will not be purchasing this one.
Adding that I do get the heliotrope in this one quite distinctly, which adds a powdery, fresh laundry aspect that is nice.
Really too bad about the poor performance because the scent itself is pleasant..

AmoreProfumi

This was very disappointing.. it smells literally like like light blue yes I thought I love love a little too and candy festival from Zara.. this to me could’ve been another light blue flanker more so a new scent release..think they should’ve dialed up the cherry note.. something to break it away from the overpowering lemon, respectfully it’s not a bad scent, just redundant.. and they redone themselves.

haus0fXI

I was able to test this and I wanted to buy it so bad. Definitely reminds me of Light Blue but with way more lemon. But the scent disappeared so fast I couldn’t believe how poor the longevity of it is! It’s such a nice fresh scent! Very disappointing:(

Mariyamokshina

Black currant, lemon, lychee, and juicy cherry with water lilies . Has a litter bitterness of the d&g light blue and slightly reminds of of Tiffany & co original “dry silver” citrus base. Summer fruity & sparkling cocktails by the pool .

TikiKat

Hmm… not sure how I feel about this. I do like it, but I feel like it’s skipping right over some of the listed notes. I’m only getting fresh lemon, white florals, and then some musk and a whole lot of dusty wood in the dry down. It’s definitely a sister to Light Blue, but I think it’ll last longer and stand up better to sweat in the summer than LB.

Update 5/14/2023: Nah. I don't care for the dry down. It's 100% unisex and kind of a dry one at that, and while anyone can be a queen, I feel like the marketing is really misleading. There's no cherry, there's no heliotrope; there's basically no heart to this fragrance.

Update #2 10/03/23: I have tried so hard to give Q a fair shake, but it smells horrible on me, my clothes, paper, basically on everything. It’s a dry, stinky mess, and it hasn’t improved in months of owning it.

vibrant.girl

This is "Light Blue: the Remix" - lemon, jasmine, musk and an addition of fruitiness from the cherry. To me, this is the same woman as LB but she's gone inland for a camping trip. It's a cute frag and not as astringent as LB, so if that was a miss this might be a hit :)

For me, it's not FBW but it is one I'm glad I got my nose on.

ina.rem

Q is unusual combination of cherry and lemon, that creates a unique and fresh scent. Modern fragrance that is in line with recent fragrance releases. It does require frequent reapplication throughout the day. The scent is versatile and suitable for wearing in any setting, including the office. I have used a sample of this fragrance every day for a week and have found it to be an enjoyable scent that I would consider wearing again. However, as someone who already owns many fresh and fruity fragrances, I will not personally invest in a full bottle of Q for now.

BGBG

This is cherry of course but I also feel something nice and bitter in it like grapefruit or vetiver. I think a man can easily pull it. Perfectly unisex and nice fragrance.

Wubbabubbabby

This smells so fresh. My first ever full bottle of perfume. It's tart when you first spray it and then settles into sort of sweet warm smell.

cocogirl

Blind buy , because I read a one comment saying that it was better than (TF Lost Cherry ) which was not , I am so mad ! This is a Nothing perfume ,I get nothing at all .too weak

PattyLovesScents

Wow we are all smelling something very different with this fragrance. I get nothing sexy at all from this. When you first spray it you do get a nice tart cherry note, but it is like if Light Blue had a cherry note. The cherry lasts just a few moments and then you have an even lighter version of Light Blue for the rest of the time. It is like a mix of Light Blue and Light Blue Forever with the slight floral note. It is a cute scent but has no lasting power at all. This was gone within an hour. It would be good for summer if it had more lasting power.

I am updating my review because I did buy a bottle of this and I do enjoy it in the 115 degree heat we have. The bottle has more lasting power than my sample had, but still doesn't last a long while, BUT in 115 degree heat that we are having the cherry fresh smell with the cedarwood finish has really been hitting the spot. I feel like I have a cute fragrance on, but nothing to gag on in the excessive heat. So a GREAT high heat fragrance. Still has a smell of light blue meets a fresh cherry and some slight woody notes.

Atomikbomb_

Ahhh! I thought I wasn't going to like this much, glad to be wrong! 😝

At first spritz this really is underwhelming, because admittedly this is very "been there done that". It's incredibly similar in tone to Light Blue throughout the wear length, but especially in the opening minutes. Yet...maybe it's not fair to say as much? I personally love the opening of Light Blue, so this is actually good to my nose?

Yet, when it settles it begins to depart from LB, and I cannot believe it...

It's a cherry I don't hate 😳

If anyone knows me they know that I really struggle with cherry, and I'm not enjoying fragrance trends lately that feature the note. Yet, *this* is light enough and contains a nearly green quality about it that totally cuts the sweetness, and it's unbelievably tolerable! In fact, I really enjoy it.

The rest of this is quite understandable and familiar (it's impossible not to compare it to LB), but it's so pleasant that I honestly don't mind. It's just citrus, a dash of unsweetened cherry, and that iconic cedar with clean musk. 👌

Is it overpriced. Yes. Would I grab this if it came down in price? Also yes.

If you're hoping for more cherry though, I think you'll be disappointed. In fact, I suspect a good many people will be. But I'm not 😅

If you're wary of cherry, give Q a wearing! Hehe...

Liljekonvall

I Get most of the cherry note and some vanilla.Very nice .Much better then TF lost cherry.😉

Pearlzo5072

I smelled this at the fragrance counter. After the initial blast of citrusy air freshener… it just seemed like another generic fragrance. It’s just ok.

Kuty22

Daphne Bugey doesn't play when it comes to creating sexy fraGaNces ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is so so sexy, it does remind me of GGG
But I prefer this one
I want it
Probably my favorite from D&G

Tony Shades

Yep, like most people noticed, it's just a reinterpretation of Light Blue, but with that Sour Cherry bitter sweet "fruit seed" note they keep using in the latest releases for women, like Very Good Girl Glam for instance.
Could be considered a "sexy cherry" flanker of Light Blue. Those who expected something new from D&G will be disappointed.
I've also noticed that late in the drydown phase it turns very powdery, like a Cherry Violet accord or something, probably because of the Heliotrope.

Amanda Palagina

At first I was not to keen on it but then , something comes out in the dry down that is so beautiful, it’s a fresh clean smell that just gets better as it dries Down ❤️

TRmen

I smelled that in Ulta and this is like you put the cherry stalks in a big bowl and you waited for 2 hours. What you smell in that bowl is same in the Q Dolce Gabbana. Very disappointed...

rainydays

Pleasant enough but by far the most uninnovative and unnecessary release I've encountered in awhile. This is a weak version of Light Blue (which I like very much) with a little bit of cherry and additional musk. The marketing for this is odd, as it's implying feelings of raw sensuality and power. This is a fragrance for those who don't generally like fragrances and want something clean and safe.

Mutrike

Had high hopes since in the store it smelled wonderful and the pyramid looks perfect to my eye - grapefruit, cherry, cedar, jasmine. I smelled a little salt as well which I love. Well, at home on my skin it smells like a really cheap syntethic cherry-coconut car freshener or a toilet spray. Tried to scrub off but it just stays on no matter what! My body chemistry says big no-no to this.

OTA Mom

Instantly recognizable D&G dna. Pleasant and wearable, well-behaved tangy cherry/citrus floral.

nudecharme

Love it. Got a full bottle. There is something about this fragrance. It's like a cascade.... of citrusy, zesty, fruity, aromatic, woody. Unforgettable.

allumez

I would describe this as the wearable, classy version of Nomade. Delightful fruits, absolutely lovely to wear. It lacks the itchy factor of Nomade, which made me very happy. I think it is the word that describes it best: a happy perfume. I’ll leave aside the heavy, kitch cap, i think half of the production costs goes to that ☺️

Sugar Pie Gemini

It's too light. Not getting much of anything. Dissatisfied:(

Xandra24

This is not how a queen should smell at all :-( I am very dissapointed, because I really love K. Light Blue alone smells better than this. I expected something unique, that projects power, but this is just ordinary.

fragrance_girl

This scent appears to be a modern interpretation of a "queen" 👑

I was surprised after testing this scent because based on the design of the bottle and presentation, I imagined it to be a more heavy, intense, rich, mature, going out type of scent. To my surprise, when I tested it, it turned out to be a more youthful, tart, fruity, zesty, and energizing scent. Suitable for daytime as well.

Before I checked notes, I was confident that it includes a prominent black currant note. However, it doesn't. Perhaps it's the combination of citruses, jasmine and cedar.
I wouldn't have guessed that it includes a cherry note.

Do not let the low rating dissuade you from trying it. Overall, it's a pleasant scent. It's ok but nothing to write home about. Good for many occasions. I can imagine wearing it to the office.
Try it if you're in the market for a tart scent.

Baba_Yaga1996

Ok, call me crazy but I smell a basil note in here that turns the entire thing into a Tomato Pasata kind of smell. It smells like a sweeter pasta sauce.

For a moment I got the lemon, and maybe a hint of the blood orange but then this weird basil side came out and it mixed so strangely that the entire thing became a pasta dish type smell. I don't get the cherries at all. I've samples it 8 times at the store from their testers, which they said are new, but each time I can't quite dig it.

I want to like it but pasta is not what I expected.

Smeegal9

Oddly enough, I like it, I get the Light Blue citrus and the cherry, but dries down to a semisweet vanilla on me. No cough syrup, but I do get some Basil. I may spring for a bottle.

LSAUG

Q smells like D&G Light Blue mixed w/ cherry cough medicine. D&G discontinued such good perfumes and then the produce this. I wonder who is doing their market research. If you want to smell like Light Blue mixed w/ cherry Nyquil here is the perfume for you.

Cornwallis

Before the scent dries it has a kind of musty smell. But once it dries it smells like a blood orange/grapefruit. I definitely get how people are saying it smells like medicine because I smell it too, to me the scent smells more like a middle aged woman than anything.

VeroMikaela

Q should be the fragrant pair of K. K has some personality, above average performance... Q is a different story, I have mixed feelings about him. Let me tell you why. First of all, because it is very soft. It doesn't project at all and the persistence is modest. It's not a bad perfume per se, but it's ordinary, it doesn't impress, it doesn't touch any of your olfactory receptors in a memorable way. As someone said already , reminds you of the smell from a luxury hotel, from a tropical country. The notes are well mixed, they are not distinguished as such, with the exception of cherries and blood orange. The perfume is not necessarily fruity, but neither citric, nor is it sweet, a little musky floral from jasmine. I don't perceive cedar and heliotrope, their presence would have added value. Don't forget: it doesn't resemble either Light blue, or Ilussione, or Passion Dance... or Baccarat Rouge... don't have any expectations in this sense. As a conclusion: 2 to 3 out of 5 in all chapters.

Xela_529

Cough syrup with a teaspoon of Italian seasoning. PASS.

What were they thinking with this one?

Surus War Elephant

Your literally just paying for the brand, this is so generic smelling other people who are smiling the different notes and the dry down and all this other crap I don't know what they're smelling this is as cheap as cheap can get

sibaraa

A beautiful fruity citrus

sandrute09

Smells like a cough syrup from the childhood. A pass for me.

XOXO_marcel

A rich, delicious fruity scent. It makes me think of luxury hotels and being on vacation. The cherry in this is absolutely fantastic; it's smooth, sweet, and warm, but never overpowering. It sits in the background to add depth while letting the fresher notes shine. This fragrance manages to be rich and refreshing at the same time. Lovely!

darkbeauty

I prefer K over Q of the duo. Q is just too safe and boring for me. If Q had included the fig profile of K, I would have purchased an entire bottle. The fig note makes K so special, and Q doesn’t have that extra something something. Lackluster and falls flat, disappearing quickly. No silage. And none of the notes linger long enough to stand out. I may consider purchasing K Instead. K also reminds me immensely of VS Dream Angels Halo which I loved but was sadly discontinued. It could be a wonderful replacement, based on similarities in the notes and overall scent profile. I never thought I’d see a close dupe in a masculine fragrance but it was apparent upon first sniff. :)

JoyousOne

The ad for the bottle was so exciting. I thought this was going to be a sweet cherry lemonade type scent. It smells more like rotten lemons in acid. The drydown is so earthy. Not my type of scent....at all!

actual-working-nose

My girlfriend wears this now. Yummy stuff! :')

NoMilkToday

I tried it yesterday and I loved it. Pity it doesn't last more than 5 minutes on my skin.

gmstrack

I like this, but it probably isn't full bottle worthy. So, yes, this fragrance is basic, but it will be easy to wear to work during spring and summer. The opening is really nice. I'm getting grapefruit, so, maybe this is the lemon, orange, and cherry mixed together. So far, I've only tested it on paper, but I will report back after testing it on skin. It doesn't have the same scratchy cedar note that the original Light Blue has. I can already tell that Q will have poor longevity.

mirnam

Beautiful juicy/citrus scent however it only lasted for an hour or two max.

SweetPeaMMJ

Every comment I read on this perfume is very negative but I love this perfume. I sampled in the store and was instantly in love. It was very very tart and fruity on me in the best way. Just a very strong tart fruity yummy scent. I love it and will be purchasing it very soon.

Ambroxer

We can hopefully all agree there’s a certain amount of fantasy in fragrances. And the fantasy in the ads for Q stopped me in my tracks: here is a woman unaffected by the cultural push for perfectly shaped eyebrows, whose ornamental trinkets ensure she’d never make it through airport security, who believes a sports bra is a suitable top for every occasion and who’s only desire seems to be making out in the desert. A woman after my own heart, no doubt, but what does she smell like?

Honestly, not very special at all. Q’s dominant notes to me are lemon with a woody base. It comes off a lot like a light and breezy summer men’s fragrance. I can pick up jasmine and a touch of cherry the harder a breathe in, but I’m nearly breaking a sweat to achieve this. It gets easier over time, and marks a drastic improvement to the fragrance as it dries down, but I can’t see this turning any heads. Across a realm of options, Q is simply nice, but ultimately feels more like another trinket than the Crown Jewels.

PollyP123

The opening is pure cleaning product, which lasts for quite a long time on my skin and is off putting to my nose. The dry down is nice enough, a light cherry scented sweet musk, almost like the cherry sherbet in dibdabs if you’re familiar with that. Projection isn’t great, and silage is quite weak, but I only had one spray on my arm so not a true test. It’s not for me, but I can see people who love sweet and fruity scents enjoying it.

JJscents

I tried this today , oh I really did not like it , it smelt like aniseed sweets or Pernod , absolutely horrid and a disappointment 😣

12Sanguine

If you like Light Blue, but wish it would last longer, I find this fills that gap for me. Smells like Light Blue just a little richer and cosier. I sprayed a little on my scarf and can still smell it 3 days later when I wear it. It does smell very different in the opening versus when it settles, so make sure you have it on for a while before you make your decision

hola gigi

I don't detect any cherry unless I concentrate and force myself to... The lemon note is dominant. I already own Light Blue Italian Love & feel this would be a redundant addition to my collection.

KylieBooFace

I don't understand all the trepidation with this fragrance. I enjoy the bottle and the heavy cap. Q smells like cherry lemonade or candy to me on first spray, then the clean musky jasmine-cedarwood sets in. It is different enough from Light Blue but it's maybe a cousin of LB. The cedarwood is so much nicer than LB IMO because it seems much lighter. It is somewhat reminiscent of hairspray or cleaning product, as cedar-citrus scents tend to be to a lot of noses. But I like it so far :) (at least 15 min on the arm, 1 spray). It is similar in vibe to Moschino Bubblegum but has the sensuality of Light Blue without being screechy. I am happy because the base notes seem to be anchoring the lemon and cherry combination instead of drowning them out.

erika.isme.98

Smells like: A garden in the summer growing vegetables, citrus, peppers, and flowers. Sunshine.

Rating: Like(?)

This is unique to my nose at first sniff. I would have never guessed the notes listed! To me in Ulta, this smelled like a peppery green floral citrus. But there's no green or peppery note? And I normally don't like lemon or blood orange in my citrus perfumes.

I feel torn. Cherry, heliotrope, cedar, and jasmine are some of my favorite notes. But I can barely smell them in this! I'll have to try it on my skin and spend more than a couple minutes with it. For now, these notes just add a bit of complexity.

TyDay

Oh god what are you all smelling? This is absolutely foul! Smells like a farm with tons of hay and a touch of citrus. I’ve never hated a fragrance so much. Just no.

tishthatsfrench

It's a sexy breakfast drink.

The fun, lemon cherry mimosa you have on vacation. One sniff and you're rolling out onto the hotel balcony to watch the ocean waves. Very sweet and citrusy. I do love it, BUT it's very, very faint. It's also one dimensional, and though the cedar is detectable, it doesn't add much depth. I wish it was cherrier. It's not a must-have, but I'm looking forward to blasting through my bottle come summertime. (Easy to do with how quickly it fades.)

Aiga1

Very citrusy opening, that quicly settles into a gentle, musky flower scent with light citrus undertone. Doesn't last long or project much, but it will do good in warm weather. I'd say unisex scent. The cap is nicely detailed and heavy. Not worth the price, at least for now as a new release.

Creamy_ambrette

The notes sound promising! The bottle looks so awful and cheap to me though! What Queen would actually want that? 🤣 Maybe I’m just borning!

tatianamachadoc

Saw someone say this could’ve been a light blue flanker and it would’ve suited this fragrance better and I couldn’t agree more. This as a whole new perfume is just…not. This is literally another version of light blue so if you already own that one, I’d probably tell you to skip this one altogether but if you want a nice, much softer, spring to summer scent I’d recommend this over light blue specially since it’s not as pungent (bare in mind I do enjoy light blue from time to time although it’s not one I reach for now)

JanaSlimsek

I can't stress enough how unbelievably unflattering this bottle is. The text on it is literally hurting my eyes.

Pez_Enelrio

They should have launched it as the 2023 flanker for light blue and it would have worked much better, haters might as well have commented they are bored of flankers bla bla… but it would have totally fitted in that line and at least the packaging was not ruined 😀 the smell is OK as a LB flanker i appreciate the fresh cherry note and the lasting power is also not bad but with the expectations of something NEW, i am disappointed

guerlainpourhomme

Opens citrusy, kind of pink grapefruit, lemony and tangerine, with a touch of cherry. The musky drydown gives me vibes of Baccarat Rouge.

LanaDelSlay

Uninspiring lemon. Boring cherry. No personality. Horrible cheap packaging. Everything is a damn mess

ScentSensualist

Hoping this is unisex enough for a guy to wear, I am a big fan of cherry scents

Forbiddenjade

Perfume_madness what are you on about? Are you saying that because some may not like the brand in general, or notes proposed, they are snobs? What kind of reasoning is that, I'm confused...

Long time D&G lover here, bought Light Blue and Feminine upon releases and spent fortunes to re-buy vintage formulas as the new ones don't even compare. These new releases of the past 2 decades are overpriced, boring (same notes 1M other brands put out there as recently) and don't perform at all. Can people state this or do we need approval before being labelled "haters"?

In life dear there's always another side of the coin so better you stick to comment on the perfume, as you ain't better than those you wish to criticise by belittling them to pass as the superior interlocutor. DUH.

Negative comments are useful to see both sides of that coin - otherwise you'd live in an eco chamber where no reality can exist other than the one you imagine and want.

bel.gravia

This is a musky cherry perfume.
The cherry is not too candied not too sweet not too in your face, above all Q is a powdery musky scent. Fruits are in the background.

Parfumadict.

I'm really excited to try this out. Cherry fragrances are crowned by the master piece from Tom Ford. Nonetheless, Dolce&Gabbana has a very interesting note brake down here. I hope is well mixed.

Perfume_madness

Almost every one commenting: I'm a fragrantica member so negative comments are all I can add. I'm better than everyone. I'm also going to hit the negative smiley face to show my superiority over all. Blah blah blah. Ugh to synthetic blah blah.

Nil3

Can’t wait to try it 🙂
Never owned a cherry scent.

COSMICSCENTS

I love the cap and juice color and of course I love cherry, but the letter Q I am not so fond of, they should have called it Dolce Queen, it would have been more fancy. La Petite Robe Noir is the first cherry fragrance and they one that started it all but apparently nobody knows that, it wasn't Tom Ford.

hedward

Oh look, yet another advertisement with a bottle surrounding by its "ingredients". Ravishing and novel. I guess scents have become so synthetic (not that its necessarily bad) that we need to be fed images of the real thing to make a mental connection.

mshilov

@yellowbluebud "looking cheap" is the essence of the brand, so no worries ))
P.S. Even if you deleted your comment later
