The Simpsons: Hit & Run (2003) - The Best of the Simpsons
On this week’s episode of THE REEL PODCASTERS, Regan and Dan celebrates the 20th anniversary of one of the most nostalgic video games of their childhoods, with THE SIMPSONS: HIT & RUN! The game follows the Simpson family and their friend Apu Nahasapeemapetilon as they witness many strange incidents that occur in Springfield; security cameras, mysterious vans, crop circles, and a "new and improved" flavour of the popular soft drink Buzz Cola that causes insanity. Taking matters into their own hands, they discover numerous shocking secrets, and soon realise these incidents are part of a larger alien conspiracy, caused by Kang and Kodos. Considering the love this game has received over the years - and given the game still retails for extraordinary prices in secondhand shops - this is a pretty easy episode to guess how the lads are going to gush over the game. So sit back and enjoy as they rant and ramble over stuff like 3D hair, Monorails and an assortment of other Simpsons goodies! –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Listen to us: Spotify: https://rb.gy/r3m4pl Google Podcasts: https://rb.gy/lvz6nx  Pocket Casts: https://rb.gy/wxsttf  Cast Box: https://rb.gy/etuvdt  Amazon Music: https://rb.gy/di2quu  Audible: https://rb.gy/dgflyw  Podbean: https://rb.gy/mfuq0p  –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Follow us:  Facebook: https://rb.gy/qfotp  Instagram: https://rb.gy/wxsye6  Regan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/Mp8B  Dan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/4XGd7 Threads Profile: https://rb.gy/plnuw  #TheSimpsons #HitandRun #20thCenturyFox #MattGroening #Simpsons #Retrospective #VideoGames #GamingPodcast #Podcast
The Offensive Bat-Astrophe of Batman 1943

The Offensive Bat-Astrophe of Batman 1943
It’s time to celebrate the widely realised BATMAN DAY! Now as ever on THE REEL PODCASTERS, Regan and Dan never stick to the norm. They could have spoken about The Dark Knight Trilogy (coming in 2024!) but instead they cover an equally important adaptation of the Batman character, with the 1943 black and white serial! The serial's story line involves the Batman, a secret U.S. government agent, attempting to defeat the schemes of Japanese agent Dr. Daka operating in Los Angeles at the height of World War II. Hardly the most critically acclaimed take on the series, let alone most well known, there’s actually a lot to unpack with this, given it actually started a few trends that would continue with the Batman mythos. Stay tuned to hear some extremely interesting thoughts on BATMAN 1943! –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Listen to us: Spotify: https://rb.gy/r3m4pl Google Podcasts: https://rb.gy/lvz6nx  Pocket Casts: https://rb.gy/wxsttf  Cast Box: https://rb.gy/etuvdt  Amazon Music: https://rb.gy/di2quu  Audible: https://rb.gy/dgflyw  Podbean: https://rb.gy/mfuq0p  –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Follow us:  Facebook: https://rb.gy/qfotp  Instagram: https://rb.gy/wxsye6  Regan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/Mp8B  Dan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/4XGd7 Threads Profile: https://rb.gy/plnuw  #Batman #BatmanDay #DCComics #DC #Superhero #Robin #BobKane #BillFinger #TVReview #Podcast

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is Better Than You Remember
It’s been a minute, but we’re back! After a much-needed break over the Summer, Regan and Dan are back to discuss the billion-dollar sequel to one of the greatest adventure movies of all time with PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST! One year after the events of “The Curse of the Black Pearl”, Will and ELizabeth are thrust onto a new adventure as various faces are searching for the legendary Dead Man’s Chest, which holds the heart of Davy Jones within. Whoever controls the heart controls the sea, and everyone wants it for their own means. Since its release - and despite a record-breaking box office run - many audiences and critics have been divided on the overall movie. And while the lads have held the movie to high regard prior, there were certainly worries rewatching it amidst a series of mediocre watches recently. So be sure to listen to the full episode to hear their full thoughts on “Dead Man’s Chest”! –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Listen to us: Spotify: https://rb.gy/r3m4pl Google Podcasts: https://rb.gy/lvz6nx  Pocket Casts: https://rb.gy/wxsttf  Cast Box: https://rb.gy/etuvdt  Amazon Music: https://rb.gy/di2quu  Audible: https://rb.gy/dgflyw  Podbean: https://rb.gy/mfuq0p  –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Follow us:  Facebook: https://rb.gy/qfotp  Instagram: https://rb.gy/wxsye6  Regan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/Mp8B  Dan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/4XGd7 Threads Profile: https://rb.gy/plnuw  #Pirates #DeadMansChest #JackSparrow #JohnnyDepp #Disney #MovieReview #POTC #PiratesLife
Hollywood Must Change

Hollywood Must Change
It’s 2023. The Hollywood Industry is at a point of no return. As both writers and actors go on strike against their management, and coupled with VFX artists calling out their poor working conditions, it’s unclear how the sector can truly fix itself. So naturally, there’s a lot of things to discuss. So in a more serious episode of THE REEL PODCASTERS, Regan and Dan dive into what is easily the biggest thing to happen to the industry in decades. Oh, and there’s also a quick detour into Dan proving why AI cannot develop a good script. Well, it’s a funny one at least, so a bit of levity in a time of cynicism and ranting. Enjoy! –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Track: Back to 1981 — Iaio [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/3MVRIfyWlnA  Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/back-1981  –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Listen to us: Spotify: https://rb.gy/r3m4pl Google Podcasts: https://rb.gy/lvz6nx  Pocket Casts: https://rb.gy/wxsttf  Cast Box: https://rb.gy/etuvdt  Amazon Music: https://rb.gy/di2quu  Audible: https://rb.gy/dgflyw  Podbean: https://rb.gy/mfuq0p  Follow us:  Instagram: https://rb.gy/wxsye6  Regan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/Mp8B  Dan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/4XGd7 Threads Profile: https://rb.gy/plnuw  #WGAStrong #WGAStrike #WGA2023 #SAGAFTRAStrike #SAGAFTRAStrong #HollywoodStrikes
Revisiting Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Revisiting Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
It’s been twenty years since the release of Disney’s swashbuckling adventure PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL! Set against the backdrop of the Golden Age of Piracy, we find Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) thrust into a sea of adventure alongside the famed pirate Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). Both men set out to save Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) from the clutches of the devious Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), whose crew of cursed pirates are desperate to save themselves from eternal damnation, and they believe Elizabeth’s blood is the key. With four sequels up until 2017, Pirates of the Caribbean is one of Disney’s most well-known franchises, though many still believe the 2003 first chapter is the best. But what do Regan and Dan think? Well sit back and enjoy as the lads celebrate 20 years of The Curse of the Black Pearl! –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Track: Back to 1981 — Iaio [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/3MVRIfyWlnA  Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/back-1981  –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Listen to us: Spotify: https://rb.gy/r3m4pl Google Podcasts: https://rb.gy/lvz6nx  Pocket Casts: https://rb.gy/wxsttf  Cast Box: https://rb.gy/etuvdt  Amazon Music: https://rb.gy/di2quu  Audible: https://rb.gy/dgflyw  Podbean: https://rb.gy/mfuq0p  Follow us:  Instagram: https://rb.gy/wxsye6  Regan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/Mp8B  Dan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/4XGd7 Threads Profile: https://rb.gy/plnuw  #PiratesoftheCaribbean #CurseoftheBlackPearl #JohnnyDepp #OrlandoBloom #KeiraKnightley #GeoffreyRush #JackSparrow #Disney #POTC #MovieReview #Podcast

The Inevitable Disappointment of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
On this week’s episode of THE REEL PODCASTERS, Regan and Dan return to talk all things spoilers for INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY. As the Apollo 11 astronauts return to the Earth, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) finds himself in a world rapidly moving past him, his head trapped very firmly in the past. But when his goddaughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) appears with the promise of adventure, it’s up to Indy to don his fedora once again and race across the globe against a rogue group of ex-Nazis who desire to rewrite history. Easily one of the most anticipated movies in years, Dial of Destiny has a lot to prove, not just to long-time fans but also to a new generation that might not have grown up on those original action classics. But does Dial of Destiny deliver? Be sure to listen to the full episode to hear the lads’ full thoughts. Enjoy! SIDENOTE: Yeah, this became a proper rant, the likes of which we haven’t done in a very long time. Spoilers from 15:16 onwards. –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Track: Back to 1981 — Iaio [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/3MVRIfyWlnA  Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/back-1981  –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Listen to us: Spotify: https://rb.gy/r3m4pl Google Podcasts: https://rb.gy/lvz6nx  Pocket Casts: https://rb.gy/wxsttf  Cast Box: https://rb.gy/etuvdt  Amazon Music: https://rb.gy/di2quu  Audible: https://rb.gy/dgflyw  Podbean: https://rb.gy/mfuq0p  Follow us:  Instagram: https://rb.gy/wxsye6  Regan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/Mp8B  Dan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/4XGd7 #IndianaJones #DialofDestiny #Indy5 #HarrisonFord #JamesMangold #PhoebeWallerBridge #MadsMikkelson #Lucasfilm #StevenSpielberg #MovieReview

56. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) | Spoiler Material
Currently ranked as the no. 1 film on Letterboxd (as of writing this), SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE is taking the world by storm, and looking to be more successful than its 2018 predecessor. This time around, Miles Morales has been honing his skills as his universe’s version of Spider-Man, but can’t seem to balance his responsibilities and his home life. It’s when Gwen Stacy swings back into his life, as well as the emergence of the terrifying Spot that Miles must traverse the expanse of the Spider-Verse once again, learning the true sacrifices that must be made to keep the continuum in check. As said, widely beloved by the general movie-going audience as well as critics, but what does Regan and Dan think? After all, they’ve been pretty burnt out on superheroes of late, plus the idea of crafting a sequel to arguably the greatest superhero film of all time is a gargantuan task to pull off. So sit back and enjoy as the lads discuss their spoilery thoughts on the next chapter in the Spider-Verse! –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Track: Back to 1981 — Iaio [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/3MVRIfyWlnA  Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/back-1981  –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Listen to us: Spotify: https://rb.gy/r3m4pl Google Podcasts: https://rb.gy/lvz6nx  Pocket Casts: https://rb.gy/wxsttf  Cast Box: https://rb.gy/etuvdt  Amazon Music: https://rb.gy/di2quu  Audible: https://rb.gy/dgflyw  Podbean: https://rb.gy/mfuq0p  Follow us:  Instagram: https://rb.gy/wxsye6  Regan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/Mp8B  Dan's Letterboxd: https://boxd.it/4XGd7 #AcrossTheSpiderVerse #SpiderVerse #SpiderMan #Marvel
