Overview

Presented in two volumes, "Uprooted... from Africa to America to Bring Forth Fruit," by Zaire Feronz, is a culmination of outstanding achievements of African Americans--former slaves/descendants of slaves--who made history in America, achieving many firsts. The content of Volumes I and II spans two centuries, two continents and ethnicities, highlighting more than 400 African American inventors with patented inventions, scientists with discoveries, educators and community leaders, businessmen, political figures, and journalists of the 19th century--who changed our world.

Shackles removed, the newly freed African Americans forged ahead on freedom's road with nothing more than their faith, and fearless determination, Ias their innate gifts began to make room for them. Divinely endowed with knowledge and skill, they began to excel at the whisper of freedom. Recently headlines across America have shown reparations on the rise.

Was it really "40 acres and a mule that was promised to the former slaves?" Find the answer to this question and more in Volume I, as we applaud the unprecedented achievements of 19th century African Americans to enlighten our youth and encourage future generations to be "fruitful" in every good work.

The early experience of research and public speaking was preparing her for a greater task. When she received a request to write an African American History textbook for middle-to-high school students, Feronz began the task without hesitation. After years of research, she presents "UPROOTED..."
