Day & Age 03:36
Verse: When you stand aside For far too long It seems impossible To belong To a fucked up world Like this You start to wish We didn't exist Don't care what Others say I don't need To be told But at this rate I won't see The light of day Until I get old Chorus: Nothing seems to work In this day and age Too many people Try to take the stage And confess They're full of rage For trying to get by In this day and age Tale a seat We need to be On the same page Verse: Nothing's changed I regret to say That I feel the same What can we do But try and try And try again My word is not absolute Not one should be It's the majority Who speak To seek their future Chorus: Nothing seems to work In this day and age Too many people Are full of rage When you stand aside For far too long It seems impossible To belong To a fucked up world You wish We didn't exist I won't see The light of day Until I get old

Give It Up 03:10
Verse: Years and years have been wasted Spending days all complacent Is it me that you hated I've got no process to guide this Can't sleep now I'm restless Reminiscing misdeeds Is there really bliss In all this ignorance This only breeds helplessness Everyone is a misfit We’re just simply complicit I think I'm ready to forfeit Chorus: Give it up Bridge: It drains, it aches It breaks you down Round and round you go Just let go Verse: Where do I draw the line Why do I struggle to find Anything remotely divine What really is success Can it be found in progress Or what I hold in excess Will I ever belong Am I prepared to move on Will I let myself right this wrong Now the seams have come loose All I do is abuse I’ve got no fucking excuse Breakdown: I’m living my life in fear I get to watch it disappear At least I’ll have more worth When I decompose Chorus: Give it up Give it up (Will I ever not feel alone) Give it up (Am I doomed to be unknown) Give it up (With no name upon my gravestone) Give it up It drains, it aches It breaks you down Round and round you go Just let go

about

We all have a sickness. A frightful disposition that we might lose all of our connections, separated from the supports around us. Not only will we lose our friends and family, but we can lose ourselves in the process. As scary as this may seem, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Our lives are being shaped by a world that has been spiralling out of control, and we now feel the pressures of our fears. Its easy to give it all up, put the ideas out of our mind, live the fallacy that life is dandy. But, If we all did this, we would only lose sight of what is right.

Everyone knows there’s something wrong with how the world works, but no matter what you try to do, there’s always a price to pay.

Do we stand up to it, do we ignore it, or do we join in and fight for it?

Everything Has It’s Price is a reminder of this question, something we all keep in mind. Being recorded during the mind-numbing lockdowns of 2020, the EP was sure to pick up the pessimistic feeling of the time, both on a political, and personal level. Each song represents the various mood swings, denials, and acceptances that came with such a confusing year.
