APS Far West Section Graduate School Workshop RSVP
The workshop and pizza dinner will take place on Oct. 5th from 5:00pm-8:00pm PST on the UC San Diego Campus in Mayer Hall (room 4322, the Mayer Room). The workshop is targeted towards undergraduate students attending the APS Far West Section Fall Meeting. Local students are also invited to attend. We will have a brief presentation followed by an opportunity to mingle and ask questions to UCSD graduate students and faculty.

During this workshop, we hope to address the following:
  • How do I know if pursuing a PhD is right for me?
  • How do I best set myself up to apply to grad school?
  • What are the components of a strong application?
  • How do I find a program that is right for me?
  • How do I apply to grad school internationally?
  • How do I fund my PhD and apply to fellowships?
