Xbox Exclusive Redfall to Release May 2023, Report Claims

A new report from Jez Corden at WindowsCentral has corroborated a previous rumor that Xbox-exclusive Redfall will launch in May 2023.

Rumors first surfaced of an internal delay last week, with Twitter user Okami13 stating the game had been internally delayed by around 6 weeks and will now release in May 2023.

WindowsCentral’s sources have corroborated this report, stating that the game will release in the first week of May 2023.

In addition to the news, it’s also been claimed that Redfall will have some form of an early access period.

The reports, although not confirmed, could suggest that the highly-anticipated Starfield will release after Redfall.

Microsoft is yet to officially comment on the release date of Redfall, but rumors suggest that Xbox will be hosting a new showcase in early 2023, so we might not have to wait long.

Redfall is officially described as “an open-world co-op FPS from Arkane Austin, the award-winning team behind Prey and Dishonored. The town of Redfall is under siege by a legion of vampires who have cut the island off from the outside world. Trapped with a handful of survivors, squad up to create the perfect team of vampire slayers in open-world action.”

The official description continues, “The island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the citizens off from the outside world. Explore the open world and immerse yourself in a deep story campaign as you unravel the mystery behind the vampires’ appearance. Ally with a handful of survivors against the creatures threatening to bleed the town dry.”

  1. The trailer from last summer gave me everybody reason to doubt that Redfall will be good. The character designs are so goofy it makes you think wtf are they doing that for? The atmosphere/mood of Redfall seemed even less serious than Back 4 Blood! You want me to believe there’s a group of 4 douche bags cranking out terrible 1-liners while fighting in a post-apocalyptic as if they’re streaming it to Twitch? The game will be so dog shit
