Chief Minister and Chief Innovation Officer, Government of Sierra Leone

Today is book release day for my first book Radical Inclusion which you can get in a bookshop nearby or online (https://lnkd.in/dkUTU47t). The day I took the oath of office as Minister was one of most satisfying days of my career. I was full of joy. On that same day, a couple hours later, President Bio publicly stated that we would continue an existing policy that prevented pregnant girls from attending school. I would be the one to enforce the ban as Minister. I was sad. A few hours later, President Bio told me that he was open to reconsider his views with the right evidence and engagement. I became hopeful. In my book, Radical Inclusion, I share stories of how we went about changing a decade old policy and built a more inclusive and just society. We all have challenges at home, work and in the world that might seem intractable. However, the "Seven Steps to Help You Create a More Just Workplace, Home, and World" I present in the book are tools we can each apply every day to make Inclusion practicable. Why? No one is exempt from being excluded. And because when we build a radically inclusive world, we all benefit. Thank you Melinda French Gates for working with Macmillan and #FlatIronBooks to provide a platform via #MomentofLift for us to share these stories.
