You can use the material in your small groups, trios or on your own. Click here for the online PDF.

Prayer Requests:
  • For Amanda - pray in preparation for her move to St Augustine’s; openness and welcome by the church family; and God’s unfolding plans for her there.
  • Guy Jackson had keyhole surgery yesterday – please pray for his healing and recovery in the coming days.Guy Jackson
  • Natasha Macready is now home from hospital and her breathing has improved, however, let us continue to pray for healing and that the side effects of the powerful antibiotics she was on will not trouble her.
  • Please remember Claire and Zach Freeth and their family in your prayers, as Claire is taking some enforced rest following a bout of pneumonia and many nights of broken sleep caring for Zach.  Ben has taken over the running of the home and the care of his father, whose health seems to be getting worse.  Pray also for decisions which need to be made regarding the MCF – Mike Campbell Foundation. Praise God for the recent increase in financial support for the MCF General Fund.
  • For Jono’s dad out of hospital and in a care home for 6 weeks assessment.  Although medically in the clear his dementia is getting worse - please continue to pray. For Malcolm & Angela Marlow; and those on ongoing treatments Graham Davis, Sue Jenner, Pauline’s daughter in law Liz whose treatment has been extended through to March - please pray for side effects to be minimised in these months … and all who are in need that each know the abiding Presence of the Lord, His many comforts and His healing grace.
Please pray for these and for all those you know needing the Lord’s healing touch and comforts.

Specific Prayer requests from Medway Hospital:
  • Staff resilience. Many staff are struggling with the amount of very sick patients, many of which do not survive. This has a huge impact on staff and their resilience. Staff are committed to care for those on their ward, but there are days when they are overwhelmed.
  • Prayers for patients, many of whom will experience people dying in beds next to them, or near to them on a daily basis. It is hard for patients not to have visitors. This is obviously important to help keep the infection rate down, but has an impact on the patient's experience in hospital. Often a couple of family members can come in when someone is dying.
  • Prayers for our overseas nurses who haven't been able to go back to their country for a home visit. It can be very challenging in a new country where you don't know anyone. Many of our staff from overseas are finding it hard.
  • Prayers for James our CEO, and all senior staff who have to make daily decisions. This is a challenging situation to be in and prayers for wisdom would be appreciated.
  • Prayers for the chaplains who have those overwhelming days, that God will hold us in peace as well as his protection. We are able to visit patients who are dying as well as those who ask for a visit. If you know of patients who are from your churches, that would welcome a visit, let us know by emailing lynda.cooke3@nhs.net
