Aurora R8/R9, graphic card max length?

I have a 12" 2080 Ti and I'm looking to get a new computer. Will this fit in either the Aurora R8 or Aurora R9?

Thanks

12" will not fit.  I just measured it.  The length of the case from one side to the other side of the case is 11."  That would leave 0" for airflow between the top and bottom of the case.   If you removed the front fan, that would get you an extra 2.5 cm, but then you'd have no front fan either.  Also, you need to keep in mind the card width needs to be under 4.25" for the case to be able to close.

@zakaweb   I have a 12inch 2080TI and I'm looking to get a new computer.

RTX 2080 Ti is offered as an option for the Aurora R8 . . . most likely a reference design, which is 10.5 inches. What is the manufacturer of you 2080 Ti? It must have a giant plastic shroud.

ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080TI Overclocked 11G GDDR6

It's a triple fan beast.

@zakaweb :

Strix and Alienware Aurora do not belong in the same sentence.

Yeah, I don't think any triple fan gpu would fit in this case. Period. No need to discuss thermals.

Thank you to everyone who responded.  Obviously this won't work.  I always liked Alienware computers but I'll have to move on I guess unless a new Area 51 is announced soon.

Are you looking to move on to a different pre-built? Or DIY?

Pre-built.  I'm investigating my choices now.

So... apparently in the last few months I've ventured deeply into PC building, the line between pre-built and custom has blurred significantly. You can get big names pre-built like Origin/ Maingear/ MSI/ Asus or boutique houses like NGEN PCs. All depends on budget and what you're looking for.

Your biggest hurdle now is probably the supply chain disruption due to COVID. Hope you manage to find a rig to your liking, budget and in a timely manner. Good luck!

How about a thickness of 4.38? (EVGA 3080)

@lollollolhahaha    I am away from my case so I am unable to check the exact measurements but I will take your word for it.

That would be a mistake      Definitely measure before you buy.

The RTX 2080 Ti is 4.556 inches in height . . . and I am pretty sure those fit in the Aurora R8 with the door closed.

I just know if I don't buy it right away then I am going to have to wait months before it will be back in stock. I might try and video chat my fiance later to see if she could measure it for me.

I did not know that about the 2080ti. I guess since I have never seen one in person I did not realize how big they are.

@Anonymous

I already changed the default front intake fan to two slim Nocuta fans instead. I am just extremely glad EVGA decided they were going to thin the card down ever so slightly for me to be able to get my case shut! I am away from my case so I am unable to check the exact measurements but I will take your word for it. I guess this means im staying up tonight and buying a 3080

A 4.38 inch height works . . . 2.2 slot width works . . . 11.23 inch length means the lower front intake fan moves outside the chassis (inside the shroud) and becomes a 120mm x 15mm fan.

@lollollolhahaha

My GPU is 4.4" wide and I have 7/8" to spare before it hits anything, so 4.5" will definitely fit no problem.   You'll still have room for airflow at 4.5".
