State polls: Perikatan to unveil election manifestos soon, says Radzi

SHAH ALAM: Perikatan Nasional will be unveiling its state election manifestos soon, says Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin.

"The manifestos are being prepared separately at the state level and the central committee will only act to coordinate them.

"The manifestos are at their final stages of completion and contain our offer for the state elections.

"We will reveal them in due time," the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia vice-president told reporters at a press conference after attending the K-Pro Convention Professional Malaysia 2.0 on Saturday (July 15).

Although not going into specifics, he said that the manifestos would be comprehensive and touch on the lives of the rakyat at various levels while outlining Perikatan's direction should they form the state governments.

He added that some states had already revealed part of their election manifesto such as Terengganu.

Perikatan in Terengganu had revealed a 10-point manifesto should it come to power in the state after the polls.

Among them include interest-free loans of up to RM4,000 to purchase motorcycles.

Also promised is the setting up of a RM5mil youth entrepreneur fund including a RM500 bereavement payment for grieving families.

Perikatan will be contesting in the state elections involving Kedah, Terengganu, Kelantan, Penang, Negeri Sembilan and Selangor this Aug 12.

Radzi was recently named alongside Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and Datuk Seri Abdul Rashid Asari as the three Bersatu "generals" to lead the coalition's election machinery in the Selangor polls.
