AMPANG: Footage of closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) of the accident that killed a motorcyclist at the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Highway (SUKE) has been handed over to the police's forensic lab for analysis.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said there was still no arrest in the case.

"The post-mortem on the victim has been completed. The cause of death is multiple injuries due to road traffic crash.

"The body has been handed over to the family members," he said when contacted on Friday (June 16).

ACP Mohd Azam urged those with information on the case or witnesses to come forward to assist the investigation.

It was reported that a motorcyclist who had gone against traffic led to a fatal accident after another fell to his death while avoiding the incoming motorcycle.

ACP Mohd Azam said the victim, aged in his 60s, crashed his high-powered motorcycle into a road divider after the suspect had gone against the flow of traffic.

The crash led to the victim falling to his death from a height of around 30m.

"His body was found near the Sungai Klang SMART control centre.

"CCTV cameras caught the suspect leaving the scene and efforts are underway to trace the motorcyclist down," he said.
