Anguri Bagh Agra

Presenting an interesting sightseeing attraction in the city of Taj Mahal, Agra, is the 17th-century Anguri Bagh. Constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, itis one of the key highlights of Agra tourism. The literal meaning of Anguri Bagh is the rich harvest of grapes, which this beautiful tourist place in Agra was once known for. Located on the Agra Fort premises, the garden is fringed by Khas Mahal on its east and the red sandstones arcades on the remaining three sides. Earlier, Anguri Bagh was a significant square of the royal ladies for the leisure strolls. For them, hammams (bath houses) were also erected on the northeast corner of the garden in such a way that they ensured complete privacy. At present, this beautiful tourist attraction in Agra houses around 85 symmetrical gardens. There is also a fountain erected in the middle which adds more charm to the exotic grandeur of this place. Besides, the garden also has a reflecting pool with scalloped borders which is also one of the main features of this alluring place.

Visit Timings

Anguri Bagh in Agra remains open all days from 6 in the morning till 5:30 in the evening.

Entry Fee

For Indian tourists, the entry fee to Anguri Bagh is 20 INR. Whereas, for foreign tourists, the ticket price is 500 INR.

Please Note: Foreign tourists can avail a discount of 50 INR if they hold the same day Taj Mahal ticket.
