Dark Skies Volunteer (Herefordshire)

Dark Skies Herefordshire is a volunteer-led initiative aiming to conserve and enhance dark skies across the rural landscape of Herefordshire and raise people’s awareness of Artificial Light At Night.

We work with partners to inform the public how Artificial Light at Night negatively affects the health of plants, night-time pollinators, birds, amphibians, mammals and humans.

You’ll join a team of enthusiastic volunteers who are helping us to map light pollution in the local area. Your role will be to take night time sky metre readings while enjoying the night sky, and share the data with us.

Our friendly team will provide you with training and support to develop in your role.
