| Each year, Disability Rights NJ is federally required to conduct a Public Input Survey. The purpose of this survey is to gather information and opinions that will help their organization’s leadership set their 2024 priorities, goals, and objectives for the protection & advocacy of individuals with disabilities. The survey collects feedback from a wide range of people about disability issues, and this valuable input helps them make decisions about the work they will do, including the cases they will accept.
We greatly appreciate your time and attention in completing this survey. If you need an alternative format of this survey, please contact us at 800-922-7233 or advocate@disabilityrightsnj.org. | |

| | Bill would require Medicaid to pay for behavioral services offered free to students New Jersey would reimburse school districts statewide for behavioral health services provided to any student who receives Medicaid under a bill now moving through the Legislature. Those services, which can include case management and health education, must be reimbursed by Medicaid regardless of whether the student participates in an individualized education program or if the covered services are provided at no charge to the student. Earlier federal Medicaid policy prohibited reimbursement for school health services if those same services were provided for free to the general student population, unless the services were specifically included in a student’s IEP or similar plan.
