Norway wants to do what?!
Norway wants to let giant machines rip up the ocean floor… vandalising one of the last remaining untouched places of our planet and wrecking a nursery to whales and countless other species.

It’s called deep-sea mining, and we have a window of opportunity to stop it before it starts -- simultaneously protecting a stretch of seabed the size of Germany, and boosting the global call for a ban on deep sea mining everywhere.

Here's how: Norway’s government isn’t often the target of people power from around the world. They care about their global image, and allies in the country say Avaazers speaking out en masse will make a huge impression.
