A Study on the Behavior of Peer Playing Games in Regional Activities of 4-5 Years Old Children

Abstract: Children at the age of 4-5 years old are generally in middle class of a kindergarten.Comparing with the children in primary class,their vocabulary is more abundant that they can express their needs and ideas more clearly,and their language expression ability also has been enhanced;their cognitive ability has been greatly improved,no longer emotional that much,and become more stable in controlling emotions.And after a year of collective life in kindergarten,they are getting more familiar with each other,owning a certain sense of security on kindergarten environment and friends,and it is also an initial accumulation of social experience.Therefore,children are not only satisfied with or rested on the level of playing alone,but also have to causing them more aspiration and interest of joining in the peer games.Regional activities is another important form of activity of kindergarten education activities besides collective activities,it provides a more independent and free space for children,benefit to children’s imagination and creativity,help to form up children’s self consciousness,practical ability and cooperation ability.The regional activities not only provides a broad platform and space for communication in peer games,but also take a very important role for promoting the development of children’s peer interaction and communication strategies.As a result,a study of the peer interaction in regional activities of 4-5 years old children,having significance for children’s intelligence,forming healthy personality and socialized development.This study selected 4-5 years old children who had just promote from primary class as the study object,adopting research methods of observation,peer nomination method,questionnaire and other research methods to study children’s peer interaction.By analyzing the interaction frequency of children under different activities regions,the games joining strategies of children and communicative behavior,the results show that.The results show that there is a close relationship between the number of interactive behavior and the category of the activity regions.Children are more frequently involved in peer games when there with the playful,situational and role oriented doll’s house and construction areas and the so on.The same sex is more than the opposite sex,when girls are more willing to communicate with their peers than boys;boys are more likely to show negative feelings like weariness and dissatisfaction on their peers than girls.Through in-depth analysis and combing,active material and activity space,children’s communication skills and strategies,children’s personality and game experience level,teachers’ educational concept and guidance,family education concept and etc.are the main factors that affect the behavior of peer interaction in regional activities.Based on the above research results,the researcher proposes the following strategies for cultivating children’s peer interaction and joining games.Firstly,teach students in accordance with their aptitude,enhance the ability of children to interact and join the game.Secondly,reasonably set activities regions and distribute materials of regional activities.Thirdly,teachers with a good view of education,shall reasonably guide and interfere regional activities.Fourthly,parent shoul established a good educational idea,reach cooperation of kindergarten and promote the healthy development of children together.
