Dyutiman Mukhopadhyay is a cognitive scientist, biologist, artist, and writer working on art psychology, emotion, and multi-modal communication. He creates and uses art to study the interplay of emotion, experience, and existence. Apart from having research publications in empirical aesthetics and cognitive neuroscience, his photographs got recognized multiple times at Venice International Photo Contest, at Los Angeles (International Photography Awards), at Prix de la Photographie, Paris and on the National Geographic website. His experimental films tried to infuse elements of brushstrokes in video frames (Moving Brushstrokes: Cinegraphic painting, 2019), and explore the narrative vacuum through passive imagography (3 Long Takes Dedicated to Abbas Kiarostami, 2022).
