This E60 BMW 5 Series was having issues with the navigation and just a general lag when using the I Drive system even after running all updates we were unable to restore the speed and usability that the system should have.
The Customer had purchased a used CCC unit for us to fit, code and programme.
BMW CIC or CCC ?
The easiest way to visually tell if you have BMW CIC or CCC is to look at the DVD slots.
- Two slots CD and DVD it means you have a CCC UNIT
- If you have only one CD slot it means that you have the BMW CIC unit. In this case, the navigation maps are stored in an internal hard drive.
