General Practitioner & Nurse Practitioner - Papakura

  • Two vacancies, salaried or contracting option and customized FTE available
  • Operate independently in a large IDT of over 50 social and whanau services
  • Develop clinically; paediatrics, mental health in primary, pain and chronic care

A bit about us:

We have an enrolled based of approx 3000 patients, who we provide effective and affordable care and planning. Majority are pre-booked appoints, some are walk-ins, and all are whānau. We are community orientated, family focused, and constantly looking for new, innovative ways to provide thoughtful care to our neighbours. Because of this, we are expanding our nurse-led clinical team and are looking for a GP & NP that can be champions in our humble corner of Tāmaki Makaurau. 

The health centre has two established senior GPs, a GP registrar, and a full suite of dedicated practice nurses, medical admin and an on-site pharmacy. Our key objectives focus around general practice, community health, mental health, outreach and vaccination.

Our wider organization offers over 50 different services across a number of sectors, including social services, whanau ora, Pae Oranga and MDT- cross agency team. We are dedicated to improving the wellbeing and mana of whānau.

A bit about you:

Both GP & NP role's will be all about improving patient health, reducing health inequalities, and assessing clinical risk for whānau with complex needs. You will consider yourself to be a true generalist; experienced with Tamariki ora, our kaumātua, and everything in between. We are looking for independent, clinical leader's competent with accessing, diagnosing, and treating patients. You will value patient and staff health, safety, and wellbeing. You will be able to build rapport quickly with excellent relationship management skills.
