If you can’t get your hands on a GM Defense Electric Military Concept Vehicle (eMCV), there’s Gravity Industries’ tactical jet suit. Power comes from five small gas turbine engines that produce a combined 1,000+ hp and generate 144 kg of thrust, good for a vertical lift of up to 12,000 feet.
Running on jet fuel, diesel, or kerosene, the tactical jet suit can achieve speeds in excess of 50 mph for up to four minutes. Think of it as a jetpack that essentially pushes air downwards and that allows the pilot to rise up. Since the jetpack is something you wear, it feels as natural and as intuitive as skiing, snowboarding or riding a bike.
