Children’s National Hospital and HSC Health Care System have a long history of collaborating with our community to understand and address the needs of the community.
We are starting to work on our next Community Health Needs Assessment which will be released in June 2022. We want to hear from you! The assessment focuses on how a child's opportunity to live a healthy and productive life is shaped by neighborhood conditions in three areas:
We are starting to work on our next Community Health Needs Assessment which will be released in June 2022. We want to hear from you! The assessment focuses on how a child's opportunity to live a healthy and productive life is shaped by neighborhood conditions in three areas:
- Health and Neighborhood Environment (e.g., access to health care and mental health services, healthy food options and green spaces/parks)
- Education (e.g., access to high quality schools, early childhood education centers, help with reading and math for children and families, educational programs for adults)
- Economic Opportunities (e.g., job opportunities, home ownership, financial security)
Your input will inform the needs assessment, which will ultimately determine what community health priorities Children's National Hospital and HSC Health Care System will focus on for the 2022-2025 time period. When the needs assessment is complete and priorities have been selected, the hospitals will collaborate with community residents, leaders, and organizations to produce a Community Health Improvement Plan that addresses the needs identified in the assessment.
