Chanticleer is known for dynamic planting design, incorporating craftsmanship into the garden, and gardeners leading the design process. The result is a garden that is ever-changing, between the seasons and from year to year. Join Chanticleer gardeners for this three-part workshop series and learn firsthand about the work that goes into this dynamic garden.
Each workshop provides insight into the practical side of garden management and design. Topics focus on seasonally specific tasks and on understanding what is happening in the garden. The workshop consists of presentations, plant walks, demonstrations, and hands-on experimentation. There will be opportunities for critical appraisal of the garden, discussion, and to ask questions throughout each workshop in the series.
This series is best suited for someone who has gardening experience, including avid home gardeners, garden professionals, and landscape design professionals. While the workshop will cover some fundamentals, the aim is to extend the participant’s plant knowledge, enhance technical abilities, and encourage experimentation in gardening practices. Participants can choose to take one, two, or three of the workshops within the series; content varies with each season.
