Horizon Forbidden West PC Version "Imminent" According to Leaker

IMDA, Singapore's rating board, has evaluated a new version of Horizon Forbidden West—a website entry for an upcoming "Complete Edition" on the PlayStation 5 platform was uncovered late last week. This information was removed at a later date since, but several media outlets have preserved crucial details. Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is M18 rated in that part of the world, thanks to gory content and sexual themes. IMDA's extended classification blurb implies that the base campaign as well as this year's Burning Shores DLC will be bundled together in a new package.

Dealabs leaker billbil-kun believes that a PC version is lined up for "imminent" release on Steam and the Epic Games Store—they cannot confirm an exact launch date, but it could arrive within a month based on potentially accurate data leaks. Sony tends to keep its flagship titles exclusive to PlayStation systems for 18 months—the base Horizon Forbidden West game arrived on PlayStation 4 and 5 last February...so the timing is about right for a converted edition to arrive PC-side. A State of Play presentation is scheduled for later today—billbil-kun recommends that folks check it out, given recent insights posted by Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb.

This may be my first full price PC game purchase. But I'll still wait for reviews of the PC port first. No buggy messes, please.

the first HZD to come to PC needed I think 7 patches... I would expect similar here, but you never know. I always wait for sales and patches, I probably will do so this time too, just nice to see its coming.

I doubt Nixxes was working on it because they just finished Ratchet and Clank so my optimism for the PC version is pretty low. I guess Bluepoint could be the studio which they are also pretty fantastic..... Crossing my fingers for a good PC port. It's fantastic on PS5.

The baseline is good, so I have high hopes.

As early as a month? Ooooohhhhh.

A title I will definitely buy. Loved Zero Dawn.

For a strictly single player game, HZD had a ton of replay and scavenger value for me. Worth the money for the hours played in my book.

It would be really interesting if they figured out a way to make a multiplayer mod for the game, where you could see other players in the open world and coop missions and trade gear and such, even if that meant doubling up on the baddies you have to battle.

...

HECK YEAH! H:ZD is one of my favorite game .... but i hate playing on PS (aside emulated or with an aftermarket controller, i don't remember the brand but i had one of the first made for the PS2 ... and if i want to re play on my PS2 i really would need to find it back ... or buy a new one if it still exist) thus i did not mind the wait till it got released to PC ...

my "prayer" for H:FW to take less time to be on PC have been heard

I quite liked the first one, but I still haven't finished it, because once I had gotten to a certain point it felt sort of meaningless to go on. Will definitely buy this tho.

Definitely worth it. Make sure you do all the hunting grounds the rewards at the end are more than worth it if you haven't already. The couldrons are also a no brainer. If you haven't completed them.

I mean the story. I cannot be assed to to all the hunting grounds. Filler content in a game that is already all filler content.

I wouldn't consider either filler content I would say why but it would be semi spoilerish lol.

Ha! I think the only things I haven't done are the Hunting Grounds and the Power cells for the super armor. Done main quest and all the side quests and found all the various artifacts. I think I don't like the Hunting Grounds because they want you to fight a particular way. Yeah sorry, I gotta cheez and weasel hunting my way, lol.

And the Weapon Tutorials! I've done zero of those because same reason of course.

Ok, so I was pretty blown away by this game ... for about 25 hours. After that I realized that the game is incredibly empty. One thing is that once you master the combat it's very repetitive. The story is ... the world is pretty cool sure, but the story itself is (IMO) not that interesting at all. And the game itself is an open world game with a million fast travel points on the map, and there are some skills (most of which don't matter in the end), there aren't many choices... BTW, I turned of most UI elements as I found the MMO-style quest tracking staff to be incredibly distracting and annoying.

So it's gorgegous, entertaining filler. The game was so entertaining it took me 25 hours to realize there's not much to it.
