Module 2: Models of Computer Networking Peer-to-Peer Architecture: Equal status of computers. No central server. Suitable for small networks (less than 12 computers). Client-Server Architecture: Central server providing services. Role of multiple clients requesting services. Dedicated servers: file servers, print servers. Module 3: Advantages and Limitations of Networking Advantages: Data and hardware sharing. Increased individual productivity. Sharing internet connections. Limitations: Security threats (e.g., hackers, viruses). Challenges with power outages. Managing large networks. High installation costs. Module 4: Types of Networks Local Area Network (LAN). Metropolitan Area Network (MAN). Wide Area Network (WAN). Personal Area Network (PAN). Module 5: Internet and World Wide Web Internet: A global network connecting millions of computers. World Wide Web: A collection of web pages accessed via the internet. Key Differences: Nature, governance, and usage. Module 6: Types of Internet Connectivity Dial-Up Connections. DSL (Digital Subscriber Line). Cable Internet Access. Mobile Connectivity: 3G, 4G, 5G. WiMAX and Wi-Fi.
