Student Leadership Application 2020-2021
Magnolia ISD is currently accepting applications for junior students that are interested in being a part of the Magnolia ISD Student Leadership Program. This program will encompass two years and includes various service projects throughout your time in it.

Approximately, 10-12 applicants will be accepted from Magnolia West High School and Magnolia High School. These students will be selected based on their leadership potential, scholastic record, and character.

Superintendent Dr. Stephens will be hosting this program, which will focus on leadership development; civic awareness of local, and county; and the state government process. Students will be able to develop their leadership capacities while interacting with elected officials from various levels of government. The program culminates with a capstone service project which will be an excellent material for college applications, community service hours and resumes.

The Student Leadership Program will consist of monthly meetings and field trips starting in October through the spring semester, and various meetings on campus with your campus sponsor.

We are looking for individuals that will commit to this two year program and put their full effort into it. Give an example in your life that shows you follow through with your commitments.
This program will require some time commitment outside of the school day. Are you willing to do extra reading, projects and other activities to grow as a leader? Give an example in your academic life of how you have gone above and beyond.  
What type of leader would others say you are? What qualities do you possess that make you an impactful leader?  What areas of leadership do you feel you need to work on?
What areas of improvement would you like to see around the Magnolia community? Give some examples of project ideas you would like to implement.
