Join the Classis Grand Rapids East Racial Justice team on September 23, 2023 for a Black History Tour of Detroit. While this is a bus trip, there will be some walking through museums and in and out of locations. See basic itinerary below:

• Leave Grand Rapids at 7:30 am from the parking lot of Calvin CRC. Drive to Detroit
• Visit the Underground Railroad Living Museum (First Congregational Church of Detroit)
• Box lunch at the Underground Railroad Museum (If you have specific dietary needs, we suggest you provide your own lunch)
• Visit the Wright Museum of African American History
• Dinner at an ethnic restaurant in Detroit (to be determined)
• Drive back to Grand Rapids (home by 10:00pm)

*We are asking participants to pay $30 to offset the cost of the bus, admission to museums, lunch, and driver's tip. Scholarships available upon request. Additionally, dinner is not included --plan on $15-$25.
