4-H age groups are determined by the youth’s age on September 1st of the current school year. Ages 5–8 are cloverbuds, 9–11 are juniors, 12–14 are intermediates, and 15–19 are seniors.

4-H club placement process

Complete the online Baker 4-H Interest Form linked above.
Your child's information will be provided to a 4-H contact leader (a volunteer position) whose club is accepting new members and whose project interests match your child's interests.
The 4-H club leader will contact you to let you know about their club’s meeting times, dates and location.
Once you connect with the 4-H club, the club leader will assist you with enrolling and collect your enrollment fee.
The 4-H year runs from October 1^st through September 30^th.

Please Note: There may be some project areas for which there are no clubs available. If a project you hoped for isn't available, consider becoming a volunteer leader! We will provide training and resources to support you.

4-H Online

All youth ages 5 to 19 are welcome to join and learn with 4-H. 4‑H clubs follow planned, self-directed programs in a number of project areas, including animal science, STEM, communication, cooking, art, gardening, and environmental science. Clubs may meet in a variety of locations and typically meet in the evenings and on the weekends.

Chartering a 4-H Club in Oregon: A 4-H Club Charter allows a group to use the 4-H Name & Emblem, with related rights and responsibilities. Use this application to apply for a club charter, and then submit the form to your 4-H staff at your local Extension office.

Oregon 4-H Animal Science Exhibitor Agreement: All 4-H members participating in an animal science project or events with their animals must read and sign this form.

Photo Opt Out Form: The Photo Opt Out Release should be used when program participants do not wish for the University to record their participation and appearance on any recorded medium. Please complete and return this form to your local Extension Office.
