薪は20%以下が焚き火には良いとされておりそれをキャンプ場で確認しております。
通常の立ち木、伐採したばかりのスギ・ヒノキで含水率は50%程度、薪割りされしっかりと乾燥した薪が20%程度。
20%以下の薪は確かに煙が少なくすぐに炭化してキャンプファイヤーには最適です。
状態の良い薪から焚べていき含水率が高い薪は後日使うか焚き火の周りにおいて出来るだけ煙を避けるようにしています。
コンパクトなのでキャンプ道具に入れておいても邪魔にはなりません。
