Urgent plea: Please Save Waffa's familly from Gaza War

I'm Wafaa S H Wadi, Palestinian mom living in Gaza. Me, my husband and two beautiful twins aged six (boy and girl) Adam and Toleen, left our warm and beautiful home on 14/10/2023 after its destruction by the bombings and airstrikes in the horrific current war in Gaza. During the past four months, we changed our place forcibly more than five times to flee the massive ground attacks and airstrikes looking for safety and food. No place is safe in Gaza, we can barely find clean water and food. Thousands of innocent children have been killed, I am terrified for my family, please help us evacuate from Gaza to Egypt and request asylum in a much safer place and raise my two beautiful kids in a peaceful environment.

Please assist us in collecting travelling fees and cover our stay in Eygpt for at least six months (minimum period to complete asylum procedures in another country).

In order to facilitate my family's evacuation from Gaza to Egypt, I'm setting up a GoFundMe campaign to raise $24010. Here is the breakdown of the funds:

A total of $15000 Has to be allocated to cover the expenses associated with obtaining permits to leave Gaza, as well as crossing fees at Rafah, at the Egypt-Gaza border. This amount breaks down to:

$10000 for two adult ($5000 each individual above 16 years old).

$5000 for two children ($2500 each individual under 16 years old).

The permits will be obtained through Hala Consulting and Travel Services which is part of the Organi Group.

It is estimated that $7200 will be sufficient to cover the basic needs of my family in Egypt during our six-month stay, including our accommodation, food, our procedures for asylum and other essentials (This equals $1,200 per month).

A total of $700 will be used to cover GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% plus $0.30 per donation).

A total of $1110 will be used to cover the cost of transferring the money to Gaza (approximately 5%)

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in saving our family. Every dollar raised will be used in a transparent and efficient way to insure the safety of our familly.

I am a PhD student in London and have set up this fundraiser for Wafaa's family with my UK bank account because GoFundMe does not recognise Palestinian bank accounts. All collected funds will be used to transfer money to Wafaa's family. I met Waafa's husband Mohammed in Granada in 2021 where we studied together for a few months after which he returned to his family in Gaza. He often talked about his family and how much he missed his twins and wife. Please support this GoFundMe so that Adam and Toleen can escape a childhood of war.
