NALULE SHAMIM RUKIYAH

Head Criminal Proceedings/Advocate

Shamim is a practicing advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all subordinate courts and the firm’s head of the criminal department.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) (Hons) from Islamic University in Uganda and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre Kampala. She is also a candidate for the award of a Master’s degree in Management and Public administration at the Uganda Management Institute, Kampala Uganda.

She started her legal career as a legal volunteer at Uganda Human Right Commission where she championed legal awareness in the Eastern part of Uganda. She then joined the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions where she served as state attorney for 5 years from where she left to join us.

She is a Member of the East African Law Society, Uganda Law Society, The Uganda Muslim Lawyers Association as well as the Sharia Assembly of Uganda.

Her areas of practice include; Criminal Litigation and Human rights advocacy, Election Petitions, General Commercial & Civil Litigation and matters of Family and children court.
