Teresa A. Swift is a noble businesswoman who has built many enterprises thanks to her entrepreneurial instincts and clarity of vision. She is a novelist who has produced four children's books and two novels since 2008, including her most recent title, "Mint," which has won numerous awards that include: -The IAN Fiction Book of the Year in 2022 -The IAN Outstanding Fiction in 2022 -The IAN Literary Finalist in 2022 -The Civil Liberties Award from the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order Elks of the World because she exemplifies the ideals of success and public responsibility. -The Firebird Award for Outstanding Historical Fiction for the year 2022 In 1980, she worked for the House of Representatives' catering department on Capitol Hill. She left Congress in 1987 to pursue a career as a mortgage banker in finance. Teresa was driven by exceptional customer service, organizational abilities, and attention to detail during her illustrious twenty-year career. She was named Top Producer twice, and she quickly advanced through the ranks to become a Senior Account Executive. She was acknowledged in various mortgage newsletters for demonstrating integrity, honesty, and professionalism while embracing the basic value of mortgage procedures. She was in charge of a multi million-dollar portfolio that she effectively managed and oversaw. Mrs. Swift was promoted to team leader due to her exceptional leadership abilities. Teresa helped her team develop into a top-producing team in a short amount of time by providing training and counseling. Teresa founded TNT Transportation Inc. in 1997, making her the first African American woman in Fairfax, Virginia to register a trucking firm with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Despite enjoying the trials of running a trucking company, her passion for mortgage banking drew her back to the profession. Swift 1 Mortgage was founded by her husband in 2003. She left her previous job to assist Swift 1 Mortgage with their day-to-day operations. Mrs. Swift is also the co-founder of Need Change Now, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating global warming and its effects on low-to-moderate-income and minority populations. Teresa and her husband, Robert, currently reside in Williamsburg, Virginia. Additionally, Mrs. Swift is now working on a sequel to "Mint" as well as other intriguing projects that are widely regarded as being of silver screen quality.
