Tohoku Tomo is a story of true friendship and commitment to Japan’s recovery by the international community following The Great East Japan Earthquake.

The film includes over a dozen interviews, footage from the impacted areas, and features J-Pop artist Maynard Plant from the band Monkey Majik; Stu Levy, producer of the film Pray for Japan; and host of Tokyofoodcast, Etsuko Nakamura.

東日本大震災後に国際色豊かなコミュニティ・団体が東北各地で復興のために活動してきました。「東北友」は、彼らの日本に捧げる思いや日本との“絆の強さ”を映し出したストーリーです。

本作には、J-POPアーティストMonkey Majikのメイナード・プラント、映画「Pray for Japan」のプロデューサーであるステュー・レヴィ、JETプログラム経験者が出演しており、十数本のインタビューや被災地での映像を収録しています。
