Transmission line hardware - Palmoreco International LLC

Transmission line hardware manufacturers in Oman now offer international quality. There are various varieties of  currently popular transmission line fittings in the market.

These transmission line hardwares are available in various power loads and materials. The materials used in  these transmission line hardwares vary according to the different designs of the fittings. Nowadays manufacturers benefit from the latest technology advancements( such as galvanizing technology) that enable them to offer exceptional quality.

Components of transmission line hardwares are commonly forged in steel and aluminum but sometimes they are galvanized and forged in steel and some are in aluminum-steel combination.

What is Transmission line hardware?

Transmission line hardware or transmission line fitting/accessory is a general name for all the fittings that are used to connect the transmission line specially where electricity needs to be transmitted over a long distance.

Transmission line fittings play a critical role in the transmission and distribution of electricity. These fittings can survive in the heavy saline conditions. They are also resistant to atmospheric corrosion, both during storage and in service.

Palmore international transmission line accessories are free from defects and never cause problems to the transmission line.

Components of Transmission line hardware

Transmission line hardware consists of the following components:

Guy grip, silicon insulator, stay insulator, tension clamp, suspension clamp, ball socket, fuse link, and so on.

Why is transmission line hardware so important?

transmission line hardware role in transmission line is very important because even if all the basic components are in place, without transmission line hardwares you can't make sure that the major components are in proper positions where they can function effectively or if the electricity is transmitted without any interruption or not.

How to choose Transmission Line Hardware to buy?

If you are in the process of setting up transmission lines and you are not sure about the specific transmission line accessories that you should buy, Don’t worry! Here is a guide that takes you through important features and types of transmission line hardwares that should be available on any power line:

1.Suspension Clamp

A suspension clamp is designed for suspending or hanging cables or conductors to the insulators, pole or tower at different points and angles depending on the requirements of the project. Suspension clamp specifications need to match with that of the cable(the cable is directly connected to the conductor) to create a perfect connection.

Suspension clamps are made of aluminum and come in different sizes to meet your project's requirements.

2.Strain Clamp

Strain clamps are mainly used to fix conductors to the insulators. It is mainly used in applications involving distribution or transmission lines.

Strain clamps are divided into detachable strain clamps and non-detachable strain clamps.

Length of the conductor is adjustable with Detachable strain clamps (what you can’t do With non-detachable clamps). If you are using a non-detachable clamp you should buy a clamp that will match the length of the conductor.

3.Link Fittings

This is one of the vital transmission line hardwares that you will need. Link fittings are designed to attach the clamps to the insulators and create a strong attachment with other components because they are made of steel.

4. Davit Arm

Davit arms support the conductor on the pole of a transmission line.

An important feature of this conductor is its long body, which is built to support the conductor just above and next to the pole. Associating poles and davit arms connect by means of a self-supporting body. The davit arms are designed to be strong. Conductors can be supported comfortably by the davit arms.

From a transmission line hardware manufacturer, you can either purchase ready-made davit arms or order custom davit arms.

5. Wood pole staples

Any transmission line will always support its conductor or cables with poles.

The conductor is secured on the pole with wood pole staples. Specifically, they attach the grounding and bonding wires to the poles. A fish hook design on the staples prevents the cables from moving when they are fastened. A current cannot pass through them as they are also insulated. You can secure grounding cables with a pole staple if you live in a place that is prone to insecurities. It's difficult to remove them with a conventional tool.

6. Ball Clevis

An important piece of hardware for a transmission line is a ball clevis. A stringer is commonly referred to as such since it provides a platform on which insulators or conductors can be attached. Transmission line ball clevises are galvanized to ensure that they can withstand harsh environmental conditions.

7. Anchor rod

It ensures the transmission line is stable; it is also called thimble rod. This thimble stands out for its oval eyes and wire strands. Anchor rods are strong in material and made to withstand harsh conditions.
