Nearly three years ago, Results for America and the Annenberg Institute at Brown University launched the EdResearch for Recovery project to provide evidence-based guidance to help education leaders respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, as the nation’s schools shift their focus from immediate recovery to longer term solutions to help students succeed, we are updating our name and our mission – to EdResearch for Action – to help state and local leaders address a wider set of education challenges.
As part of this relaunch, we are sharing new evidence-based tools and resources, including:
➡➡ A new website that makes it easy to navigate our research briefs and all our resources to help education leaders improve outcomes
➡➡ A new Act on Evidence tool that can help school districts determine whether their existing programs align with evidence, and use what they learn to strengthen them
➡➡ New and updated research briefs — including an updated brief on reducing student absenteeism released this week — that reflect new research and the evolving needs of districts and schools
We are also partnering with school districts to help them build programs grounded in evidence and measure their progress. We are hosting a fellowship program and workshop series to help researchers produce useful, actionable evidence. We will soon be releasing more new and updated research briefs – on topics requested by practitioners – to help education leaders deliver better results. #EdResearch4Action
