PETALING JAYA: The government will have a meeting with Khazanah Nasional Bhd to discuss the sovereign wealth fund's sale of Kidzania Singapore, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (pic).

“We will have a meeting first,” he said when asked to comment about the sale of Kidzania Singapore, which was said to be at an "unreasonable price", Utusan Malaysia reported.

Kidzania Singapore was sold at SG$110,000 (RM380,000) to theme park operator Sim Leisure Group.

Khazanah and Boustead Holdings Bhd had invested S$48mil (RM165.5mil) into Kidzania in 2016.

During Khazanah's management, Kidzania Singapore recorded an income of S$15mil (RM51.7mil) and suffered a loss after taxation of S$8.3mil (RM28.6mil).

Kidzania Singapore also owes S$53.4mil (RM184.2mil) to creditors, 93% of which is owed to Theme Attractions Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Khazanah, reported Singapore Business Times.

It was also previously reported that Khazanah had sold Iskandar Malaysia Studios (IMS) at a low price.
